Just when I lost hope in Khyber's denizens I get suprised.....

Last night I screwed myself out of a Sunblade ( I say i screwed myself because, well, I posted the cash in the trade window and hit accept before the other guy put up the sword) I put up a trade for one afterwards and , to my utter surprise, someone not only had one they GAVE it to me! His generosity doesn't end there, he proceeded to give me a Dusk Heart, Chaosgarde and close to 300kpp worth of Rogue gear.

So if you see Seldarin around the forums, give him a shout and let him know that his uncommon generosity is greatly appreciated.

However, the bastard has been blacklisted with every Guild I know, and I'm currently trying to find out where his mother lives.

Plus, I'm used to A-Holes...the nice guy stuck out in my mind far more.

I should have known better than to hit accept before I saw the sword...ah well, chalk it up to substance use and late hours.( and momentary retardation)

If you aren't ready to lose your money don't do those kind of trades remember he has to give you item as well....... I do a lot of mail in game trades. I never mail anything I am not ready to lose.....you never know who you are dealing with ....so yah no sympathy from me ....

IE, the realise they have cash but didnt offer up the item, whereas anyone with a conscience, well a good one anyway, wouldve realised and said sorry mate, forgot to stick in the item here it is. That evidently didnt occur, so you are saying stiff to the OP.

Sure it behoves us all to check things, but then again if ur tired, late at night, other reasons, things happen, but the person on the other end would be sure to realise they have a wad of cash and still have the item. What you are actually doing is saying its ok to screw over other players, least we know to double check any dealings with you.

As I said earlier if you aren't ready to lose something don't get yourself in situations like those. If he was tired he paid the price. I bet next time he will pay more attention.

Aussiee, bit of reading comprehension for ya, i didnt blame you for it, you said no sympathy from you which to me would indicate that you condone the actions of the other party. If you had denounced them as behaving unscrupulously then that would mean you didnt agree with their actions, however as you laid the blame fully on the OP, that leads me to believe that you condone the aforementioned behaviour.

Not putting any words into your mouth, its right there from your own keyboard. I wasnt laying any blame on you, just stating what you had posted and reading through your post, your end line in conjunction with the rest points clearly to you agreeing with what transpired, ie that is ok to screw others over, because its their fault for not checking the transaction.

Granted the OP shouldve checked, i didnt disgree with that, but as i stated anyone with a good conscience wouldve realised that the trade hadnt been fully completed and wouldve made amends for it, that didnt occur, and all you say is OPs fault, no sympathy. Ergo, you condone what occurred. You typed it, not me.

I actually did something like this once. I took the cash, but I failed to put the item in the trade window and just wasn't paying attention. And then I logged out because I was late for an appointment.

When I logged back on and saw the nasty email in-game, I emailed back right away with an apology and with the item attached in the mail.

That's the difference between a screw up and a screw-you.
