Two guildees and I were on mid level characters (2 lvl 13 rogues and 1 lvl 16 monk) and had just completed Tor flagging for the Reaver. We decided we might as well form up a low level Reaver raid to celebrate the flagging. LMF went up for lvl 13-16. No takers. Tick, tock went the clock. We decided to try to short man--knowing that we weren't remotely prepared (didn't have the right weapons, supplies, etc.). Just before we stepped in, a noble lvl 14 Pally joined our group and was willing to give it a try; making it a lowby foursome.
We went in and started it up with the monk as the main tank. The 1st set of ellies dropped and we quickly realized that we wouldn't be able to kill them (wrong weapons made it too slow and accumulated too much damage since we didn't have a healer in the party and didn't have supplies). So we just ran around as the number of ellies mounted. The brave Pally ended up dying on the ceiling spikes.
After one of us got fly and hit the switch, we used the times we had fly to beat on the Giant's head to take him down, avoiding most of the ellie damage. He finally dropped--but we had run through most of our heal supplies and red bars.
On to the puzzle. Four rounds done, while more ellies accumulated. I died trying to change the colors on the 5th and final change. The monk was able to get the colors changed--nearly blinded by the mass of ellies--and then died. We just needed to pull the lever to complete. The time was almost up. The last rogue, with just a few hps left and barely any time left on the timer was able to hit the lever after some kiting--completion!
So very stressful and fun!
We ended up getting a 10% bonus for killing nothing
The pic below shows the army of ellies coming after us as we looted the chests.
I've done this raid 100s of times--but never had this much fun before.
