Its cool, if you blind invited me, I dont need the star to open the quest you want me to do all the heavy lifting in on the hardest difficulty, then fill all other available group slots with DDO store hirelings. Then afk at the door. I can do that without the star, np.

OMG this has been happening alot. If you can waste money on hirelings you can spend money on pots.

I purchased the Necro pack that contains that underwater quest a few months ago (forget the name of the quest at the moment). I heard bad things about it, but wanted the XP and favor, so I put up the LFM. First person joins, and immediately says "Oh man, I don't wanna do this quest, it sucks."

Seriously dude...you clicked on the LFM that had that quest identified. Seriously...

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the cleric in vod hard that died on the spikes... someone tossed him a res - and he took it in the spikes.. then I tossed him another one.. and yes... again... and then spyderwolf called for people to stop rezzing him. At which time I said are you kidding? You normally can't buy entertainment like this, best spent res scrolls evar - managed to use 7 or so more

yeah we had this happen to us too when we ran something the other night on our TRs....very strange. I really like it when they join a LFM that says FAST...in progress,keep up.....then ask for a share and where is quest....I wish I had Jedi powers......"This is not the LFM you're looking for"...make life easier for both parties.

I think maybe it's why 9 times out of 10 I'd rather spend a bunch of tp's to buy myself a group of hirelings from the store. Don't get me wrong, I have run into quite a few good groups. It just seems like the number of bad ones is growing.... like fungus....

Our guild constantly fights over the star. It's like a game of musical chairs and the loser is the one that ends up stuck with it when the music stops.

A group is started to get a few things done, gets them done, and then star is passed around randomly until someone else comes up with a goal. Yeah familiar with that method.

What does irritate me is, people who apply to a lfm that they are not qualified for. Such as a Lfm I put up a few days ago for Zorian Cipher, rogue being only class selected, comment says 'need rouge with trap skills'. First 2 to apply are a pure fighter, and a sorc/monk. It's like people don't bother to read!

That and when you have (using last nights example) a shroud LFM up, levels 17-20. A level 15 clicks in and I just /sigh. Then I get a tell from "said" level 15. Hey I'm "such-n-such" guy just got this guy shroud flagged and would like to come. What he apparantly forgot, is his "****-talking" to me in PvP. You know the kind, you have no chance he says. Next sentence is (Combat): You have killed Such-n-such.

But I do have to agree there, they do not give us enough room to type every thing we need to type in the quest box to prevent "un-qualified" people from joining.

There have been times I've attempted to join an LFM that I wasn't in their level range for, or other reasons, but I at least send a tell to party leader, and they either say no, or say click the lfm.

...or the level 17 who turns up in a pug for an epic raid (and successfully flags for DQ before we notice)

I really hate pugging through DQ flagging now. Having to ask people multiple times to check that they talk to the quest giver twice and verify that they do in fact have the quest - only to complete the pre raid and get to quest giver only to hear about half the group say that they are "Bugged" and can't get into the next part for the actual raid.

I'm not really sure how to defeat that through the LFM panel - just sort of a remember who has it happen for the next time I guess.

The best ones are the ones that tell you how much better they are than you, your whole guild, your dog ect... Then either die right away or won’t stop "solving" the puzzle even though the wall is already up.

(no kidding about the dog, had a guy in a party once tell me he could "bark louder than my dog", I thought he was making a joke, so I laughed, he dropped group (yes there is more to the story but way too long to go into it all )
