For a Drow KotC using rapiers what weapon should I be looking to start crafting for endgame usefulness to clear trash and such? Or should I not bother at all and keep Vorpals for that? Have a full compliment of rapiers for the situational fighting (Disruptors, Smiters, Banishers, GCB, Greater Elemental)

Lightening II?

Min II - Is it needed with the ability to create Holy Swords?

Already have goggles, a helm and bracers on the go, so am looking for usefulness in a weapon?

Would any crafted weapon be useful for Red names, or should I stick to Holy Sword Rapiers for that?

I would go with lightning strike.

Your holy swords will work fine unless we get some weird non-evil bosses in the future.

I would go with Lightning II for the current devil trash.

Radiance II also does good damage with the extra 4d6 "light" damage on crits, the blinding is just a bonus. It does have the issue that most of the devils are immune to that whole flaming burst bit.

i have the same question as the OP. since palys can cast holy sword, then we can use that as replacement for min2 weapons? crafting only lit2 for more dps, switching to holy sword when need to bypass dr (except /mithril,/adamantine)?

it kinda sucks the rapiers dont get vorpal. who says you cant cut off someones head by piercing the neck? and rapiers can slash too, check with zorro!
