It always seemed to me a few of the spells at level 1 are a little poorer than they maybe should be.
Doom is fine, like a minor curse.
Bane though could do with this.
Empowered Bane Spell
Bane spell causes -2 to hit and -2 to fear saves.
or if only slightly better for 1 AP.
Altered Bane Spell
Bane spell causes targets to get -1 to all necromancy saves, a further -1 to fear saves and -1 to hit.
Shifted Bane Spell
Bane spell causes targets to get -1 to all saves and -1 to hit
