    Default Flood the Subterrane!

I know this a bit of a odd suggestion, but I think it might be a rather interesting idea, to say the least.

With the potental that the weather can have in stormreach, why not try something interesting? Once in a while, a monsoon 'season' can affect Stormreach, and when that happens, The Subterrene(And other areas in Stormreach also) can flood with water, thus changing the elements of gameplay(And possibly being able to access areas previously inaccessible!).

Not only would it be an interesting experiment to try with the future underwater fighting update going on, but it would also make playing certain dungeons and raids more interesting, because with new, flooded areas, you gotta rethink your plan, and certain wilderness mobs/bosses may or may not be available as well. I view this as a rather interesting experiment to go alongside underwater action, because it will test a party's reaction to such an incident, and require them to make a decision whether to go through the flooded area, take another route(If applicable), throw water-related buffs, and other choices. Its worth a shot, to say the least.

While I like the monsoon idea, flooding some areas of the Subterraine would make it more difficult to access the two raids in the SubT. Most groups I am in, both guild and Pug, take a long time to reach the raids when it's DRY, sometimes due to people falling off the platforms. I think adding water to the runs would slow the raids runs down further.

In addition, if you flood the wilderness area, the coders would have to flood VoD and Hound to keep continuity, and I don't see that happening. I would imagine trying to code what they have on their plate already is a full time job.

Yeah, I don't think that flooded raids would be a good idea...

Well, there goes the Underwater Combat update...

And don't worry, if a quest/raid does get flooded due to downpouring rain, the whole area won't be flooded...and even if the devs somehow managed to program the idea so that the water level rises in the flooded area, it wont fill the entire area...

It would depend on how they implemented underwater combat, but I just see it adding a whole new level of difficulty to VoD. It's already hard enough to find a PuG that will listen to instructions in there, throwing that in would make it near impossible.

If they did a new raid designed to be done underwater...ok, I can see that. But my main objection would be all the dev time it would take to redo HoX and VoD so they can be done underwater, which could instead be done finishing up the Bard PrEs, for example. Also I'd rather a new raid than a redone old one every so often.

Not necessarily. Since you travel around the area by portals, it is plausible that the resultant portal leads you to an area untouched by the flood.

I really like this idea, to breathe some life into old content.

But, I would like the more important (imo) things to be fixed/made first. Prestige Classes... Being able to 'feed' party members potions... for starters.

Adding an underwater version of certain quests would make for an interesting experience though.
