I love tanking.
I was wondering if there was a generally-accepted monk tank build.

I would assume a wis dex build. I think there is one called rockin robin that with some good gear could tank. I also saw someone post a charisma based build so if that one was used you could get your intimi tank monk. Not sure it would survive as well as the rockin build.
The problem with monks tanking is that monks are attribute based to succeed. So spoending attribute points on chr to up the intimi would be hard. However, i am sure someone could come up with a good one once you get the riht gear. Still thin kit going to be hard to get the aggro. I thin many monks could survive the tanking but they will have a hard time getting the aggro.
Monks can be excellent tanks due to their potentially high HP, extreme healing amp, solid but unspectacular AC, stellar saves and Monk-specific defenses such as DR and Improved Evasion.
Threat is, however, an issue. You really *need* incite gear, which is very hard to find, and top-notch handwraps.
I don't have a zerging problem.
I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
There's also http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p...34&postcount=4 though I don't have any idea how effective that is.

It's almost a copy of my guildy (Hydro's) build. He tanks all the time just fine.
It depends on whether you want to intimitank, DPS tank, or try desperately to hold aggro with low dps, high ac tanking. Personally I hate high ac / low dps builds that need a lot of time to build aggro and will lose it fast to decent DPS builds.

I've tanked Suulo on my WF monk several times, with no problems. Just need a bit longer than most to get his agro solidly. then when he teleports....If i hit him first a few times I can keep agro pretty easily.
My monk is WF and does solid damage (30+ str at all times) He has ToD rings and good Wraps, but could have better. 489 unbuffed HP and the ability to be reconstructed aren't too bad at all. Will eventually have more HP once he gets EPIC gear and gets everything in order![]()

If you've got a monk past life you can try my build. Its gear intensive, but will get the job done I believe. Higher to hit than min/max pure monks, and intimidate is high enough for most end raids.

Bumping because I'm trying to figure out how to gear a Grandmaster of Mountains DPS tank (link provided above somewhere).
Incite properties and Healing amp properties are both found on Dragontouched armour. I'm uncertain which options would be preferred. I am currently considering incite 10% and healing amp 20%, simply because the % numbers seems more favorable. Is this advisable?
