    Default Need FvS help :S

I am fairly new to the game itself but i would like to know what is the best way to go with a FvS 32 Point build. i dont know all the abreviations so if u could not use too many of them that would be fantastic XD i am looking to be a little more on the caster side then melee but i dont want to be completely defenceless when my SP runs out. i would just like to know what should str, dex, con, int, wis, cha. all be when i start out. and what feats should i get right at the beginning? im looking to be a lvl20 FvS human Male. so please help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Definitely sausage. Or maybe sausage & mushroom. But not pepperoni, whatever you say don't say pepperoni.

    despite the oh so helpful above comments;
What you want to do is difficult but not impossible. with the need for 2 stats (cha and wis) to get sp and higher saves for your spells, it is hard to be both caster and melee. Go True Neutral ( kinda hard in the beginning but best for endgame), i think that for what you want: 14 str, 8 dex, 12 con, 10 int, 16 wis, and 16 cha would work.
You can always move 2 point of cha into con or an extra into wisdom depening on whether you want higher saves or hp or put into str for more to-hit.

you can see why melee/caster both is hard to do. end up ok over all but not great at any thing

for feats start with mental toughness and depending on what you decide to do cha/wis wise you may want force of personality.
by endgame you will want at least extend and quicken, but other than that. decide what you want to do more (cast/hit/heal) and build off that

If you want to make an offensive caster FvS check out Impaqt's Evoker build, its real nice.

    Just one tip.

Charisma is not as important for offensive casting FvS's as wisdom. Every 2 charisma only gives 29 mana at level 20, and you will have around 2500. Do not start with more than 14 charisma and do not put any level up points into charisma (really you can start with 8-10 charisma but disjunction can disable your items preventing you from casting higher level spells).

I think it is best for you to specialize.

Either pick melee/healer or offensive caster/healer, but not both. You will be spread out too thinly and may end up gimped if you attempt all three at once (melee/healer/caster).

Only way you can be a healer/caster/melee FVS is the drow vulkoor using shortswords and weapon finesse with a 2 monk splash.

    Something like:
    10str
    16dex
    12con
    10int
    17wis
    11chr

Other than that your going to not really like the outcome. Even the above stated build gets rough as your a low str build and rely on the shortsword enhancments combined with the fvs dmg to do any sort of damage. Its an nice build, but neither your casting or your melee will be as good as specialized evocaster or battlehealer.

Humans just aren't going to have the neccasary stats to do all 3, pick healer + caster or healer + melee if this is your first go around. My first FVS build was the vulkoor drow above, and it works out pretty good, but I prefer a more melee playstyle and dropped the wisdom commitment to focus on str which also frees up the finesse feat to something more useful.

Leaving aside that a 10 strength build can NEVER be considered even decent at melee (low base damage, no power attack...), it's not just the stats that get you, it's the feats. Even with a monk splash, cramming in all the feats you would want to be capable at both jobs is going to be hard. Plus, you're losing out on several hundred spellpoints by not getting the last 2 levels of FvS and the capstone.

    Agreed with Matuse.

In addition, the capabilities of the player (not just the toon) comes into mind as well. I personally find it hard to melee and keep an eye on the health of party members at the same time. Imagine a new player doing all three things at once.
