    Default str or dex builds

I currently have a complete finesse build for my rogue. Planning to TR her soon.

I am running with a 34 DEX, which allows me to have a increadible hit ratio in epic.(as long as i am backstabing). But i feel that i am missing out on over all DPS by doing this.

But i cant seem to figure out a decent STR build that will do traps and locks and DPS. Are there any STR builds that can trap, UMD, do Locks and still manage EPIC?

Yep. They're built very similarly to dex builds. Get enough dex to hit 17 with whatever tomes you have available (for GTWF) and then get str to a 16 at least and put all level ups there. You can do traps with less than 10 intelligence but I generally prefer at least 12 personally.

I should add that the dps difference between strength based rogues and properly built finesse rogues is minimal. There is a difference, but it's not huge.

Agree 100 percent. People don't realize that the number one way for the average player to increase their DPS is to not miss.

Until you hit everything on a 2+, which will happen between level 12 and 15, dependent on particular build. And then the STR builds have better DPS and even 1 more feat to spend.

+1 Vote for the Strength build. The difference in to hit is rather small and since quite a few things buff STR but not dex (rage, madstone rage etc.) its even less so. Roughly +3 damage per hit does not sound like all that much granted but add to the fact that you can use that weapon finesse to get like exotic weapon: khopesh and the difference becomes more noticable. The dex build has a better ref save and CAN reach decent AC with proper build and equipment.

My vote is Str build. I have a 18/2 rogue/fighter that usually owns the kill counts. I took fighter lvls for extra feat and +1 str and racial toughness he dual wields radII khopeshes with assassinIII and with a 30 str before rages. I can still maintain a 24 reflex save with an unbuffed 437 HP as well as rolling with a umd of 27. I never have any trouble finding or disableing on elite =, but sometimes i do have trouble on epic tho its usually because i needs some buffs to exceed the requirements. I have 10 toons and most are above lvl 16 and this is BY FAR the funnest and most leathal character i have. Make sure you have plenty of HPs!!
