Interesting build. Personally I'm not a fan of using yugo pots or +3/4 tomes as the main presentation of a build. I think that using these items reduce the utility of the build and make it harder to see how it can be reached.

In fact one of the reasons why I did the level 9, 16, 20 and epic analysis above was to get an idea of AC progression and what AC goals "could" be reachable. Of course, Dodge or chattering are unlikely for a TR0 before 20, but the format should make it easy to remove.

I've thought that Monk and Paladin might make a good mix for an AC build. You could consider Longswords in U5 as they have a new feat which will keep you centered and then combine it with Elf sword damage AP boost.

Hey emptysands, I was wondering if you could take a look at this: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=230365

It'll never reach an AC in the 80s (low 60s self-buffed), but I'd like to know what I'd be able to tank with that (raids, quest areas, ect) and if you think it'd be worth it to continue to work on it's AC.

(The Intimidate will be 5 higher than what I show (Bullheaded and Skill Focus: Intimidate and Quickdraw in place of the THF feats), and the AC will be 1 higher as well since I'm reworking the gear.)

    Thank you.

Check out this thread for some Intimidate DCs: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=245254. As it stands you probably could do VoD hard or DQ elite without much problem.

If you took Armor/Tower Shield Fighter Mastery you could also get a few more DEX points on your AC. Not sure how pushed your AP layout is like though.

Personally I think using the cloak slot only for +5 resists is a difficult cost. At the moment I actually use Light and Darkness, and don't bother too much with in TWF mode. I'm planning to have the +5 resists on my DT, also I find a shield wand very handy when in TWF mode.

I've found 60-70 a steady AC for tanking VOD.

The APs are incredibly tight. And I thought my Paladin had it rough... Depending on tomes I can drop some of the stat enhancements and put those into increasing my DEX bonus though.

Unless I'm mistaken then Light and Darkness offers the same AC as a HoX Sheild? (8 sheild + 6 deflection vs 9 sheild + 5 deflection on another slot). Or is there another source of Deflection 6 AC I could get? If it's the same I'll use that instead since it's a lot easier to get. Switching gear around anyway to fit in the Chaosgarde bracers my friend gave me.

Think I could tank in Shroud or in ToD on Suulomades? I'm guessing since you said 60-70 works for VoD the earlier raids like Reaver's Fate are even easier?

    Thanks.

The difference between the L&D and Hound Shield is DR7 vs DR15 and MDB- vs MDB4. The only other +6 Deflection is Epic Ring of the Silver Concord.

No point tanking Shroud these days and intimitanking Sulu can be lag dependent. I just use intimidate to reset aggro on Sulu if he jumps around in VoD. Hate tanking is generally most consistent and that depends on your dps (which you should have anyway) and threat multiplier (maybe not with a kensei build). Note using bows is not a favored dps method in end game raids. Certainly in ToD or VoD it will not work.

    Wizards to can tank Reavers.

The main point of mine wasn't to be a tank, but rather to be an arcane archer. Since Ranged is still gimp when compared to melee though, I wanted to add more utility to the build.

Sort of an, "I want to be able to tank such-and-such raid if I need to, otherwise I'll be ranged", if that makes sense.

I haven't looked to see what it would be like with Arcane Archer and Stalwart Defender, though I may switch to that if I end up doing more tanking towards the end.

I'd say it is hard to do a range build without Manyshot.

Manyshot is at level 7, soon as the BAB was high enough.

You are right. Sorry looked at the wrong build.
