I thought maybe if this was true it may have had something to do with this line of reasoning without it actually being listed.

    DDO != DnD != RL.

    Deal with it.

Nope, not under D&D rules or any disclosed DDO rule.

Yeah but as we all know...DDO hardly ever only pertains to only disclosed rules.

Nice to see this finally posted with evidence.
I noticed this a while back when beating portals in the shroud and watching barbarians swing at the same speed as my fighter with capstone, and also by being unable to match shade's swing speed while twitching (here)

As for THF barbs skyrocketing further ahead in dps calcs that wont be the case. Most THF calculations are already using shade's pure barb attack speed... so its actually the non-pure barbs (and other THF builds) that fall further behind.

That's true, I hadn't thought of that -- the DPS calculators were probably using Shade's twitch speed for THF twitch, and presumably Shade was doing it with a capped barbarian. Yeah so it means that THF builds that aren't pure barb will have a bit less attack speed and hence DPS, although I don't quite know how this affects twitch attack speed; my video was non-twitch (just holding down the attack button) because I'm not that good at it and my proficiency with it would become just another noise variable that screws up the results.

Depends on if it affectes 2wf or not.

If it does, barb will probably go to non SA top for 0% fort while being behind unarmed builds for 50+% fort.

Disregarding the fact that lack of AC/damage taken from frenzy doesn't have much of an impact in high end content this is a good thing.

Like for example Conan swinging a great sword and Zorro carving a "Z" in Conan's ass before he can even draw his weapon? Guaranteed Conan is stronger. And I am betting Zorro wears him down and attacks faster the entire time.

Sorry for the lame Character choices but I think you will still understand my point.

I like it actually...but sorry, I have done plenty of battle against Ogres and Orthons in this game with dex builds........and I usually only get those Z's because of those magically enhanced weapons....and a lot of times because I have a good healer...niether of which Zorro would have.

Besides...we all know Crom would never let Antonio Banderas kill Arnold :P

This is very interesting. This is without applying any rages? (if yes, then we can exclude the hidden effects of STR as hypothesized by others).

Shade's probably the only one active on the forums to do a fast test and see if this applies to twitching since he twitches close to perfect. This might be interesting to know.

Last thing to ask: Knowing how bad Turbine responds to fixes, would this be fixed at all? Soon? Or take as long as the dev needing to fix the broken capstone, curse+Rage bugs etc?

    This is rediculous.

    Any ETA on fixing this?

    Talking about overpowered...

So lets take a fighter CAPSTONE and just stick on the tail end of the barb one...
Can I get the pally one stuck to my fighter one then? thanks.

It is ridiculous, we should also remove the fighter capstone and give them +2 strength instead.

I agree, fighters are overpowered since there capstone actually works as described. Every class should be heavily bugged for balance.

    lol...

Do you read what you write before you click the submit reply button?

This is a clear heavy imbalance toward barbs, who already get so much love they can swim in it. An untyped effect granted without being referred to in a description is not WAI by the very descriptive nature of the game.

Of course you'll get sarcastic, its a good thing for you since its your character!
