.... Half-Elf and Gnome, they are listed under the dragonmark section of the current DDO manual which has been updated recently.

Tell me what your thoughts on this are! Me personally I am excited about that aspect.

this is the manual he's referring to and it mentions the races, their corresponding marks and the houses they operate, doesn't state what they are going to do in ddo just seems to be lore information.

Not my favorite race or class, but I do miss gnomes.

I am not saying for sure they will be the next races, but as an educated guess, as the basis for background for Eberron, as well as how that list is planned out with dragon marks, I see it as the most likely event that will happen, especially with the half-elves, because, I have killed Half-Elf Zombies in game. And seeing as they have planned out the list of dragonmarks for the races in the manual, I would think since they have the basis there, they might go ahead and make those two as the next. Not to mention, the list of PrE has been updated on the Humans in include the Human/Half-Orc Dragonmark PrE as coming, along with the Half-Orcs, which also is a dragonmark on that list. I hope what I am assuming is true and they complete the base lore for Eberron before moving towards the other core races which should also be in this game.

Honestly I would like to see how they would interepret the half-elves adapatibility of being between human and elf, Half-Elf is one of my personal favorites race wise for roleplay purposes.

I know I'm going to sound crazy, but I'd like to see some of the Eberron indigenous races, like, say, Shifters and Daelkyr Half-Bloods, next. I understand that Changelings, for concept reasons, would be ridiculously difficult to set up, so I'm not too worried about them.

But dang, I sure would love a symbiotic pal who's fun to be with.

Well, it's now been confirmed all this time later that Half Elves did come!

Wish gnomes where going to join us as well, but maybe it will happen soon!

I had an interesting conversation with the devs while at PAX.

It seems they have a list of races most requested.

It came up because I asked now that they have half-orcs and half-elves done, when's the tieflings coming?

But they've been keeping track, of course, of how much their fan base wants various races. Of course gnomes are up there, and shifters and kalashtar (this is ebberon, after all, it doesn't take a kalashtar...) and also tieflings.

But the other one that I want even more than tieflings is also on the list:

Kobolds.

Oh yeah, Kobolds.

They totally need to implement kobolds, and make a kobold only solo quest where you take over clan tunnelworm as your own personal fifedom, and make Boss Jittik dress up like Charlotte the Scarlet and scrub all the oozes out of the waterworks.
