Superior Potency VII

hi all, I have a lvl 17 Sorc and I just purchased a Superior Pot VII item which increases my lvl 7 and lower spells by 40%. I wanted this because it increases the dmg done by my Delayed Blast Fireball and it also stacks with my enhancement line.

anyways, my question: Is the pot VII at 40% dmg better then the pot VI at 50% given that most of the direct dmg spells are lvl 6 and under? So I'm losing 10% dmg over-all on my other spells vs a gain to dmg for my DBF spell?

opinions? thoughts? advice welcome.

The only Superior Potency VII item i know of is the Radiant Arc from Rainbow in the Dark.

In my opinion, Greater Potency VII > Superior Potency VI

on lvl VII spells you only have delayed blast and prismatic spray, so you can change when you cast it to greater potency VII and greater fire lore item...
i use superior potency VI all the time and switch to 2nd set if i need to

You can get a Superior Potency VI necklace at level 18 from Amrath quests. I personally use that most of the time, and then equip a Superior Combustion VII item for DBF.

Ideally you want Superior Spark/Freeze/Inferno/Erosion etc. at the appropriate level for the spell as these give
a 15% boost per tier instead of 10%.. Fairly easy for spell levels < 7. For spells of levels great than 6 it's
Amrath belts, Regalia of the Phoenix etc.
