    Default Worst build ever in-game...

Alright, we all know there can be some REALLY bad builds in game. But I have a rather interesting question to ask some of you 'build designers' out there. This question will be making you think in the opposite direction with what I ask.

Out of all the bad builds out there, which build would be the WORST EVER character build to have in the game*? And when I say worst ever, I just don't mean bad, I don't just mean horrible, I mean a build that is so bad it cannot solo quests in korthos on casual. I can say right now that the build will probably be a 28 point build of some kind, since a 32 point build wouldn't make it the worst ever build.

*(And don't worry, if I do create this build, which I probably will not since I'm full on player slots, but if I do anyways, I wont grief other players with this build. There's no need to scare away more of Turbine's money with the deep hole they are in.)

Bacab has a great thread on this...somewhere. If you find it prepare to howl....some really epic fail builds in there

I will stick with my favorite power build....the 8/7/5!

    8 sorc
    7 wiz
    5 cleric

    Aka....the ultimate broken tool...er toon
When you think about what this toon could ALMOST do....it makes my head explode

    Elf Wizard/Sorcerer/Bard

    STR 13
    DEX 12
    CON 7
    INT 10
    WIS 18
    CHA 10

Elf for the lowest possible CON. Every subsequent point earned put into WIS. I had to spend the rest of the points somewhere, so I tried to gimp STR and DEX evenly. This character cannot cast a single spell, has the lowest possible HP, lousy AC, cannot use better than light armor and isn't very good at hitting things in melee OR ranged. I chose the 2 main arcane casters, because they have the lowest HP and are next to useless without their spells. Bard not so much, but on the other hand they are useless without charisma, which pairs nice with sorcerer. Ranger levels would have given too many good free feats and HP. Cleric or FvS would of course have enabled healing, which is bad. Fighter, Barbarian or paladin levels would have given too many HP and BaB or even spells. No go! Rogue would have given sneak attack and skill points, which we don't want. Don't even get me started on Monk.

The plus side? You have a high will save.

It doesn't even matter much how many levels you take in each class, but if you want to fail as hard as possible, only take one level of bard.

    What do you think?

    Default Build

There is always Sigtrent's super uber Heavy Metal Dungeon God. He only took it to 16 levels but I think the last 4 are pretty easy to figure out

I have once called the heavy metal dungeon god I update every once in a while. <Ninja posted!>

Its really terrible but I think it could solo korthos, nearly anything can. Mine was all about taking abilities and then canceling them out with something... like healers friend and improved fortification, one makes you easier to heal, the other makes you impossible to heal. COMBO! The whole build is like that, and the idea of taking an uber sounding idea but making it bad... like two weapon fighting without any feats etc...

    Least survivable...
I guess 28pt elf wizard, no con, max charisma and wisdom or some such. Still I imagine with a starter weapon even they could manage some quests despite no spells and terrible hit points.

    The Glass Cannon

    1 monk 19 wiz
Elf, all points into Int, Str, Dex
Always in air stance: 4 Con
Wears Bloodrage Symbiont and Phantasmic Masque: 1 Con (possible the con negatives doesn't stack, don't think anyone has tested)
Wears Bete Noir: Taint of Evil, hidden proc of negative levels when attacked.

Question: how long can this person last without getting hit?

    Alternatively...

The Suicidal (not entirely useless, but...):
    3 monk 17 Cleric
    Wis/Dex/Cha
Air stance + Bloodrage Symbiont + Death Pact = 0 Con

Actually, can you speak with NPCs or enter instances with 0 con?

Bonus: Give this guy some DR and elemental protect equipment and featherfall, and it technically cannot solo Korthos once the combo is activated. (unable to die, unable to attack)

Elf Monk5/Sorc8/Cleric7 - Justification Monk for Combat/AC, Sorc for Firewall/SP, Cleric for self healing. Thinking a 28 point 8/16/8/12/16/14 would be ideal to maximize AC and SP. Justification, HP isn't necessary because of your awesome AC and you can use Weapon Finesse to hit. You'll attack so fast in Wind Stance that you don't need STR and your Firewalls will make up for any lost DPS.

    Halfling barb

    6 str
    10 dex
    8 con
    10 int
    16 wiz
    18 cha

Rage exustion for 4 str gives -3 to hit and damage, use fists = not enough damage to bypass zombie damage reduction
unsure how this build would lvl as i was unable to complete haytons

Look up "The Krillin" for some nice laughs. This has/is always been an interesting subject for me. It is a lot of fun when you toss an LFM up and you get...

Dirzzzitxxxx Sephirothanimebbqkitten would like to join your party 7CLR/4BRB/3FVS

And when you say...what are you trying to accomplish? They answer..."I R SLEF SIFISHUNT I IZ GONG 2 KEEL STFF"

At this point you are super tempted just to accept them into the party just to see what they do. Kinda like watching a really great/horrible episode of cops.

I used to get all upset when I saw someone that was clearly a horrid build and even worse of a player; they would always die and cost me the 10% XP bonus. BUT think about it. Most of the best threads on these forums rarely go...

So I was in this super-sucessful PUG and we were able to do all the Gianthold Quest on Elite in about an hour and a half.
    THAT IS A BORING STORY!

    This one is much better.

So I was kinda high from getting my Wisdom Teeth removed and decided to XP a bit on my TR. Well this 7CLR/4BRB/3FVS hits my LFM and I figure: "Why Not?" So we decide to do Cabal and Feast on elite. The new guy claims to know where the quest is....(insert long funny story here).... And thats how I ended up ruining my stitches and having to go back to the dentist.

You see how this is actually fun now? Good party=boring. Bad party= boring. Epically bad player in a good party=awesomesauce 3000

I actually rolled up the heavy metal dungeon god once. Part of its badness was to make sure it had the cleric icon at all times despite no ability to heal what so ever.

I just couldn't bring myself to inflict it on an actual party as much as the notion made me titter with devilish amusement.

Cool we got a cleric lets go....
    Heal....
    Heal plz....
    ***, HEAL ME
    "How do I do that?"
    Click on the spell!
    "I cant."
    What?
"When I try to put them on it says I don't have enough of something."
    ***!!!????
    "Its more a DPS build."
With no kills... are you even proficient with those swords?
"What? I need more loot, do you guys have any extra gold I can have? Clerics get gold right?"

Rolling through Stormcleave, lvl 8 WF Sorceror/ftr 5/3 split, carrying a Greataxe

Me: what buff spells you have Sorc?

    Sorc: none

Me:......<after looking at his lvl split> what build you going for on your character?

Sorc: oh i'm going Sorc the rest of the way, i just cant cast spells right now.

    Me:.......why not?

Sorc: I only have an 8 Charisma.....

    Me: ........<W T F>

Sorc:....but when I get to level 20, this character will rule!

    real answer: no, it wont.

I'm inspired now...Drow 12 Monk/6 Barbarian/2 rogue or fighter (haste boost ftw!), two weapon fighting. Precision feat (to make sure you don't miss!), wind stance (con is optional...must tank it to 4 before gear), and all of the feats necessary to get frenzied berserker ASAP! Must of course use vicious handwraps and stay frenzied the entire time. Alternatively you could do warforged and make sure to take the feat to preclude all divine healing but then you'd have far too many hp's. Much more fun to watch the healer scramble to heal you as you frenzy and vicious yourself to death with wind stance 3's extra attacks, monks extra attacks with handwraps, and popping those haste boosts more and more the closer that healer's blue bar gets to empty.

Booo...just realized it won't work with alignment though. :: pout ::

In that case go with Drow 12 rogue (acro II)/6 barbarian/2 whatever. Go with a vicious quarterstaff to maximize the incoming pain.

One that I have actually seen on Korthos...

    1 barb/ 1 wiz/ 1 cleric

Don't know what the players stats were, but he was doing something right somewhere. I mean, he'd at least made it to level three...
