It is basic dungeon theory:
If the loot weren't junk its former owner wouldn't have died to the monster that keeps it in the hoard.
Thus smart heroes go kill kings, not dragons.

Hey I got a good one ,
Butchers path I think it is , "Find the kobolds secret treasure optional" . 40 Masterwork arrows and 30gp no it was not ransacked .

As a registered Alt-a-holic, I have never had a huge issue with loot because I often had an alt or a planned alt that could use the pull.

Reeeaaaallly, you have alts that need masterwork arrows......PM me your alts names so I can mail them every masterwork arrow I ever get. Oh and I might even put them on my 'friends' list. That's an honor really it is.

I was addressing the OP's points about loot at higher levels not fitting class /not wowing him more than all the crappy low level chests I don't even bother to open. I was soloing rares in GH for relics recently and pulled a lot of nice stuff none of it useable by the character who pulled it except for the +6 dex item but a lot went to my shared bank. Having 6 or 7 mouths to feed improves loot...because you can say wow my fighter would love this even though it's trash for your wizard.

I got your point in the first place - but amongst the jumble of other peoples complaints I found yours to stand out as odd without the background that I had to assume. As always that opens the door for someone to poke you just for the fun of it. No harm intended.

No worries... I got ya. Just wanted to make sure my point was made you never can be sure. I'm just back after abreak and trying to look on the bright side.The one thing I will say is that loot was so much better 2 years ago when vorps, and etc were rare and everyone in party freaked when someone pulled one. I remember the first paralyzer bow we saw back when there were like 3 on the whole server. The whole party oood and ahh right through SC. That is definitely missing in the new loot rich world.
