Default Looking for a dark monk build

I am not new to DDO and have several difficult builds which require some twitching/items, etc to really get the best of the build.

Anyhow, I am looking for a dark monk build to get the most of the new 500pt damage ki strikes.

Any good builds out there that dont require every single piece of raid gear?

Well, there's plenty of builds out there, so I'll start you off with some quick tips/corrections:
    - there are no 500 point ki strikes. The best you'll get is 2d20 elemental strikes at level 18, but you can spam them.
    - there *is* a 500 dmg untyped hit called Touch of Death, which is obtainable dark-side after level 9, but has some prerequisites. It's essentially the dark side's answer to light side's ability to cast Rise of the Phoenix. And there's no special build that utilizes it. All you need to do is have the ki for it, and be level 9+ on the dark path.

    Monk class info is here:

I'll leave the rest to the other forum-ites.

    thanks brother.

As you can see, I have no clue what I am talking about regarding monks, however, I am a quick study, so off to the wiki I go.

I'd have a read of this guide

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=242841

It's an excellent introduction to building a monk, and covers all the basics. Sample builds for a variety of races are also included.

The feats are for a light path monk, but just substitute the dark path feat at lvl 3 and you wont go wrong.

Thanks to all those who contributed to my lack of understanding of the monk class. I really do appreciate the help. The monk class really looks fun and challenging so I will be spending some time ready for abit.
