    Default Build Question

so I've got a level 4 rank 17, elf paladin. I'm totally new to this game ( not to D&D ), and my build seems to be working okay for the moment. I'm not really trying for anything in particular, but I am following the sovereign host path. Now, I used to a sword and shield but found that my 1h weapon damage was lacking. Since I don't have the dex for TWF, I was wondering if there are any THF builds that do good dps, and if I'm missing anything that I should have.

above is the link to my character, I don't have a build in the character generator yet because I just got it and am unsure how to use it fully, I will update the thread with it in the next few hours if anyone replies and requests to see it.

At first blush, your Wisdom, unless inflated by an item, is too high, your Strength and Charisma too high and your Constitution too low. I'd reroll, leaving Wisdom unadjusted in your Stat Point raises, putting those points into Con, and moving points from Charisma and Strength and into Constitution. Elves should have a minimum starting Constitution of 12 for any build, especially for one who will be fighting hand-to-hand. There's just no delicate way to put it.

    Default Pally

I would level your pally up some more that way you can learn first hand what you like and dont like about your toon.

Than you can look at lots of good build Ideas that will fit your Play style and time needed to fetch the gear ya need. at that time you can reroll or reincarnate and change your stats accordingly.

For Someone new to DDO Online I would reccomend Working toward a KOTC Pally If you Like Pallys.

The Hunter of the dead is a cool option but most pallys do the KOTC AS SIB Pally needs a lot of grinding at end game for gear needed to compete with the other tank types.

Pally also gets ya Holy Sword At Higher level that will save you shroud grinding so you can get Other shroud Items Before The Weapons.

As a THF pally, if you're set on using elf, I'd go:
    str 15
    dex 10
    con 14
    Int 8
    wis 8
    Cha 16
all lvl up points into str

If you're open to using human instead:
    str 15
    dex 8
    con 15
    int 10
    wis 8
    cha 16
all lvl up points into str

I'd suggest the human build for the extra feat and skill points. This will let you raise your umd 1 rank and balance .5 rank per level.
