Smile Thelanis - if you are not busy...

For the next week, until May 2nd, I'm personally asking all residents of Thelanis, if you aren't actively doing something, please stand in the harbor.

That way you can help your neighbors when you aren't even playing.

I know it's far, and a lot of you are SUPER lazy, but I did ask as a favor.

stand in the harbor? Trying to lag the ice games? Not that I care mind you, but I can't think of why else stand around the harbor.

5 or more works best for me. It has nothing to do with lag, just number of instances.

Just a simple request for the folks that spend most of their time standing around, please stand in the harbor until May 2nd.

    Thanks!

I can't understand how something hasn't been done about this because it's basically an exploit and some people are making a shed load of money which will then raise prices on the AH because sellers will know there's so much more cash around.

    Not good....

*shrug* Honestly, I can't say I care on this one. People want make a plat, let them. Sellers can't sell if a buyer doesn't buy.

But if I'm around (work is keeping me busy), I'll stand in the harbor if I'm not up to anything. Which honestly is what I pretty much do with my lowbies. I keep them over at the bank in the harbor. Beats zoning in and out of the marketplace with the bank there. I'd be doing what you are requesting regardless.

Everyone always assumes the worst...and surprisingly, only the worst.

I once had a friend that told me these wise words: I'd rather suspect the best and be wrong 99% of the time, than assume the worst and be right 99% of the time.

Not that it should matter, but I'm just collecting these for personal use and friends that I can help out.
So far from 400 purple coins I've only gotten 12 icy burst kits, and if you think that is more than enough for any player, you must not be aware of my roster.

Again, all this thread is is a request that if people aren't doing anything, please just stand in the harbor instead of a bar.

    Thanks,
    Werk

Honestly? Your explanation doesn't tell me anything unless you're asking me to infer that switching instances doesn't actually reset the purple coin. Not to mention not everyone has a FvS (even though I do).

Though I suspect that recipe 5 farming is more to do with character "luck" than rate of getting coins anyway.

I'm just curious though, for you all, what's the average number of purple coins needed to get a single recipe 5?

Personally: 160 purple coins, 11 recipe 5. On average, I get 1-2 recipe 5 per 20 coins, though once I didn't get any.
    Reference: per 20 coins-
    1, 2, 2, 0, 2, 1, 1, 2

    What?

    *spits into spittoon*
Now now listen here boy. You gotta understand how the game and timing works to really appreciate that video. MMhmm I sure like taters though. the more instances you have = the less standing around you do = more purple coins = more recipes.
    *spits into spittoon*
Now, stick with me boy. If you got 3 instances you end up wasting a ton of time collecting coins because you gotta wait 10-15 seconds before switching up on them instances. Instead of switching and directly getting a coin.

I'm not .. I said .. i'm not quite sure *** you were talking about and maybe you just don't understand the whole logic behind it.

I should always remember. Yer just a boy.

    Alter

    PS:

    short read version:

1.switching instances doesn't instantly reset the coin.
    2. it is timed based depending on if you are in the instance
    3. 3mins if you are in the instance and much much less when you are not. Don't have my figures.
    4. fast farming = more recipes/items

Thank you for finally spitting out what you forced me to infer previously.

I'm glad after a few months of the ice games being around you understand.
