    Default Drow spell resistance..worth it?

Im a lvl 9 drow rogue who, being sick of getting held all the time thought it would be a good idea to drop some enhancement points on my drow spell resistance and got it up to 16 (3 enhancement points)... i heard from a little birdy that SR is a waste. i could use those extra points for something else but if it does help out i may as well keep it.

    Ideas anybody?

To beat SR the caster must roll D20+caster level.

So, to beat SR 16, and assuming you are facing a L9 caster, they would need a roll of 7 or more to beat your SR, meaning that you will be protected 1/3 of the time. Somewhat useful, but not very useful. And since at L9 you are probably facing CR12 mobs... they may need to roll even lower than 7 to bypass your SR.

Basically, Drow SR is buggered up.

Put those points into enchantment resistance instead.

I'd go haste. I'm pretty certain that enhancement haste stacks with haste spell. Not 100% certain however.

...should not be happening often. Reason being, you shouldn't be pulling caster aggro, the casters should rarely know you are there until you slip your shiv into their backsides. If you're getting held enough for it to be an annoyance, then re-examine your aggro management techniques. Let that fighter/barb/whoever pull initial aggro. Then you move in to kill.

IIRC, Haste Boost does stack with Haste spell, and Haste Boost > Damage Boost in my opinion. I only take Dam Boost to qualify for Assassin.

Haste boost does stack with the Haste spell and is better than damage boost. Damage boost adds a flat # of damage to your attacks, while haste boost scales all of your damage up (including sneak attacks, which is a very good portion of the whole.)

Damage boost will continue to provide the same bonus, but haste boost will get better with every damage improvement you get.
