There is way too much shopping in this game. Where's the shopping service?

I don't like shopping much in real life.

So the thought of having to shop for stuff in a game does not quite meet my fun threshold.

I know that there are those who love the thrill of the chase of a good bargain or trade... so .... where's the shopping service? Surely those who love to shop can meet the needs of people like me who are both a)clueless and b)disinterested.



The other thing is that I'm kinda of very focused when I actually do shop. I know exactly what I want and I go and buy that. So I can't wait until they finally do decent filtering on the AH... (any day now yes?)

So um yeah... if you wonder why my high level toons are wandering around wearing completely **** items, that's why... I find them in a chest, are very kindly given them, or I very focused buy them (possibly paying more than i should).


Hmmm... I think I'm reversed gender stereotyped in this... it's a very odd game for gender stuff.. but that's a different topic.

strak, i think the OP is referring to AH shopping for equips
but yah, for all other consumables, look for pumpkin

One of the other MMO's I play has it set up where you and bid ont items your looking for even if none are up for auction. Then when one is put up your bid is applied.

Don't do it. Sell everything at a tavern and only use what you drop... don't buy stuff.

As per OP, yep, that's pretty much exactly what I do. Which is why half of my characters are wearing crappy stuff.

And yeah I know about Pumpkin - I've played with Pumpkin (in reavers 'hey Ludo!! I'm almost out of scrolls!!! give me a deal??' , on my barb....)

If you have kids (and you can trust them) teach them how to use your character to shop for you.

I've got friends in lotro who taught their kids to craft for them.

Lunchtime, at work. That's when I find all my bargains. 5% weighted warhammers in the vendor, +1 metalline of pure good Gaxe in the vendor...etc.

Do you hoard? I do and I need to spend half a day soon to clear it all up :|
