Look- as a VIP & having characters on almost all servers here at DDO, I know that the Sarlona server and its Auction House is DDO's toughest exchange (Ghalladria & Lammasia servers excluded): for both items and the prices being asked for those scant, few items.

However, I've seen the best overall weaponry for sale there on the Salonan A.H.; also, items generally being offered [there] are still less than Base Value, as a close-out price; so in the balance of things, it's still an "all things being equal" dynamic or perception...

... so here's what happened:
Yurielion [my only human {M} FvS, 3Level with XP for 4Level] logs on Harbor Area in the vicinity of Auction House, sees mail in box; retrieving the *outbid* coinage, he heads back & converses w/ the Bugbear agent for House O. While rebidding, I am PM'd a message, from a 7 Paladin/1 Rogue:
-Paladrogue: "what kind of armor are you wearing"
-Yuri~: "+1 Mithral plate; got it from the AH here..."
-Paladrogue: "how much did you pay?
-Yuri~: "got lucky- paid about half 4 it- 500PP"
-Paladrogue: "can I buy it from you? I can pay over time"

The phrase *pay over time* told to me, from another gamer I totally do NOT KNOW nor grouped or partied with, on an MMORPG such as DDO? So I check out this *character*- 7 Paladin & 1 Rogue: obvious 32-point build. Obvious Herp Derp gamer... since he's wearing the *knickers of Korthos*.

-Yuri~: "I sold my only small Eberron dragonshard so I'd have this, it's Base price is 11,500 Gold. Plus its my best piece of gear. Sorry, no"

A rational person, especially a role-playing gamer, would think that that, would be the *end of the conversation*: The armor I am wearing is not for sale at this time. However, he did not stop at that, fellow Eberron Citizen...

-Paladrogue: "I'll give you 500 GP for it right now"
-Paladrogue: "that's all you paid for it"

[I started to get perturbed, fellow Citizen... increasingly feeling Harassed, U-kno?]

-Yuri~: "I told U B4, it cost me 500 PP- not GP; Base $$ = 11,500 gold, = 1,500PP"
-Paladrogue: "I'll give you 1000PP for it right now"
-Yuri~: "it's my best piece of gear & I told you its not for sale... sorry, no"
-Paladrogue: "PLEASE? I gotta have that armor!"

Perhaps, Fellow Citizen, I should have filed a Harassment report, but I did not for some reason. However, I did warn the gamer, that their behavior was warranting such and I logged off to write this.
Aidon~ truly was deserving; even cordially, "no" still means NO.

We Gamers, of the Community of DDO (or any other MMO game, for that matter) do *Make or Break the game*, and it goes beyond Turbine's "Powered by our Users" slogan:

Our actions, individually and collectively, determine whether or not the "newbie" stays with the game.

How would you like to meet someone for the first time: shaking their hand or getting hit in the face by them?
