Paladin Intim

So I made a 18/2 Paladin Fighter, but I wasn't really tanking a whole lot my first life, so when I TR'd, I went with dps feats. A bit later, and now it's getting hard to find a tank for epic DQ, so I was trying to find out what it would take to modify my guy to get a decent success rate on my intims.

As of now:
23 ranks +
15 (item) +
10 (30 charisma) +
6 (GS) +
1 (Fighter enhancement) +
2 (Head of GF) +
4 (Greater Heroism)
= 61 self buffed

Bard song is 2 more, for 63 in a raid, plenty for norm/hard pug raids, and the guild has tank builds near 70 for the elite guild runs.

Epic DQ takes 79+1 for a no fail, from what I hear, but I think I remember getting to around 77 should be enough to make it doable, with mass heal being fixed.

With a lesser TR, I could drop some feats (like TWF) and get the 3 dragonmarks (I'm human), bullheaded, and SF: Intim for another 6 + 2 + 3, for a total of 74 intim. I'd still fail on a 5 however, and would probably gimp my guy enough to make it not fun to play. Is there anything I'm missing that can get me a bit more intim, to make it worth it?

Notes: I do not want to TR as a fighter, as that would take 3 weeks + lesser hearts + the actual relevelling after the TR. I don't really want to drop below 18 paladin either, even to pick up more fighter intim enhancements.

As far as Cha, I only have a +2 tome right now but all +3 exceptional. A +4 Charisma tome would give another 1 intim, but I've been farming ToD, so I think there's not much else I can do until I get lucky on the drop.

You could take Paladin 18 / 1 Fighter / 1 monk.

You miss out on +1 STR enhancement, but you gain +1 intim from the path of the tenacious badger for a net of +1, and you still get a bonus feat... now failing on a 4.

Btw, don't monk fire light fire finishers grant another +2 bonus to skills? Forget what bonus it was so not sure if it stacks with luck/enhancement/competence, etc.

Is raising your charisma out of the question? 30 is a pretty high score already. If you could push 2 points then that's a +1 as well, but tough choice.

Quick draw is supposed to quicken the cooldown on intimidate (not tested myself, could anyone confirm?) maybe it'd make up for the lower score with more chance per 6 second span.

Last, well it's almost a moot point cause action boosts are unreliable as far as uptime goes, but with human versatility you might be able to push that score higher temporarily.

Not sure what your gear setup is, but will a command item stack with greensteel cha skills bonus?

command wont stack with an intim item i think.
I dont think that spending so many feats to be able to intimidate 2 bosses is worthy, you will gimp your char in every other aspect of the game.
Sorry i dont have more advice on how to get a higher intimidate...

Not worth it at all. The raid can be completed without an intimitank. Never worth completely gimping yourself for 1 raid imo.

You are forgetting house D pots and monk buff though.

+2 monk
+3 cha skills pot
+5 human versitility boost


Then you can bump your cha with
+3 cha pot
+2 Yugoloth favor pot

The check is infact 79 +1.

IMO its too much effort on a paly, There simply arent enough feats to go around. My fighter can lock her on a 1 as well as elite hound (80+1) and it took a huge investment including past life feat, build points into cha, several feats etc.

Completely forgot about pots, thanks, sounds like I got it.

And yeah, I know it's a huge investment and totally gimps my guy, which is why I was hoping to get a 79 before I even thought about it. I have two lesser hearts in the bank at the moment though, so I thought I might just level some new guy for a week and get on the tank just for epic DQ while our new group learns it, then LR back.
