Dais of the Full Moons

So, there is a new area in Meridia (new to me at least) called Dais of the Full Moons. And there are two quest givers that ask me for pieces of the blades that flit around Meridia, and something from Gnolls. I ran out and killed a bunch of gnolls after the quest was given, but nothing seemed different. No new collectibles at least, either as drops, or in chests. I just did a search of the forums, but no hits. Is this something new, or am I just behind the times? Either way, what's the story?

ignore it, they arent worth it, esp as the blades dont even drop
