After runnin Stunning blow on my Battlemage I fell in love with it. Was just wondering if anyone is running with Stunning Blow on there Ranger. What ya think of it, Can you get the DC high enough, etc.

What a stupid ruling, we all know that D&D promotes satanism, not gangs.

My ranger does not have the feat, but if i had the room i would def. take it. My DC would be

    10 Base
    20 STR mod (50 str)
    10 Weapon
    ------
    40 DC

That is ok for epic, it won't land every time, but it will still help. Altho, 95% of your rangers out there can't even sustain over a 40 str, so the DC would realisticlly be around 30, which is no useful ingame.

I do however recomend weilding 2 weighted 5% wepons, because with tempest III, you get a hell of a lot of attacks, and the stun goes off quite a lot. Remember weighted weapons have no save.

It depends. Fighters and barbs can get their DC's up to around 50-55 with proper gear, race, enhancements, and buffs. If you have high str and are dwarf/WF you may be able to get your DC high enough to work a good amount of the time in high level content. What's your strength, and what race are you? Do you have IC piercing, slash, or blunt?

Just got back into the game and I havn't looked at my BM in a bit but his DC at 18 is...

Might be a couple numbers off

    2 Fighter
    3 WF
    10 Weapon
11 Str Mod=10+10+2+3+11...36 Not enough for Epic but I took it as a extra feat to play with(first time using stunning blow) and just loved it.

As for this Ranger I decided to play AA sence I got about every other type of ranger. But he is a Str based AA and I melee very often, Human so no racial Enh and pure ranger so no fighter enh. I might just do the dual weighted weapon, always liked my blunts but never had a good reason to use em over weapons.

Still working out the kinks, but I'm going with str based Dual Weighted Warhammers with stunning blow on my first melee ranger. I had him worked out but forget important ability scores. Human and Need 13 Dex min, and 10 Wis because he's on Orion and a bit undergeared so an 8 would have been tough. Needless to say, I've rerolled him twice after reaching lv 6.
WOW thats tough with a 28 Pt charcter! Will Res him someday!

But Stunning Blow is certainly worth it, just trying to get those needed Feats in first. Weighted Warhammers will be awesome. They not only add a flat unsavable 3% (for example) chance to stun, but ADD +3 to your Stunning Blow DC. And since Warhammers are the top tier of Blunt weapons...
