Just to make sure I get my side of the story out, since I'm unguilded.

Just a few minutes ago, someone from guild "Alpha" tried to join my group. I had set the level range as 13-15, for Prisoner of the Plains. This person was level 12, and hereforth will be called XXX.

No tells came forth, so I just declined.

Said person then asks "why did you decline me", and tries to join again.

I replied: "If you try to koin outside my requested level range without asking in advance, I'm ignoring you." (spelling errors included), and drop again.

XXX replies: whatever i do that all the time and that is no reason the be rude like that i have done that quest at lvl 11 b4 it isnt a problem

I reply: Which is more rude: saying I'm rude because I dropped you for joing outside my requested range? ot thinking I should just allow anyone outside my requested level range without even asking?
I reply: The very least you could do is ask.

I reply: To say frankly? I don't know if you are bluffing, so I have to assume you are. I declined because you triedto join outside the level range without asking. That is all there is to it.

I accept a separate lv 12 into party.

I reply: (1) I've played with said person before, so he/she's not an unknown. (2) I'm sill waiting for you to just ask politely.

I reply: Maybe it's just me, but askign me why I declined you, only deserves and answer of why I declined you, and it not an actual request to join despite being lower than my level range.

I reply: Despite the reason being obvious because you are clearly under the requested level range?
XXX reply: so it is the same either way

I reply: 3 months.
XXX reply: i have done these at lvl10 and 11 so lvl is what ever you make
XXX reply: and i have been playing for just about 5 years

easy disruptor easy vorp easy smite all are lvl 10 with the last guy its run him around and smack him dead. the only reason why i might not let him join is i want a higher lvl base so i can do elite pop and go back to doing norm lets say madstone

if you do aquest and its lvl 14 the obvious level request should be lvl 12-15 and duh he might be unknown to you since uhm he is on a FREAKIN LOWBIE!!!!!

I can't blame OP for declining and continuing to decline. Ran a Pug PoP two weeks ago and a lvl 10 Pally sends me a tell asking to join because he was outside of the lvl range. I asked have you done this before he says "yes , blah, blah, blah". I ask again when we start the quest "Anyone new to this quest?", and all I get is silence and no party chat saying they are new. Second room he dies, third room he dies, fourth room on he's on lever duty. After fourth room he asks "is it almost done? ", I just rolled my eyes and said not quite. It's funny though even after I tell everyone not to pick up the docent at the end, lvl 10 Pally goes "ding!", Justice.

First, if a level range is setup, I find it ok to stick to it, no matter if its doable by lower level or not. If someone is not happy with the decision, he can do his on lfm with his own restrictions.
Putting up an LFM saying no noobs would be the same, all quests can be by noobs too, so why decline them?

If im the party leader it is my party and i can pick or decline whoever I like, if you are not happy with it, you can always leave. Only thing i would demand is keeping a proper choice of language, which has been done in this case, so fully agreed.

You tell him: because the lfm says 13-15 and you are 12.
XXX tells you: but I am uber and can do the quest at lvl 9.
You tell him: then make your own group, cus now I don't like you and you will never find your way into my lfm ever again so ... buh bye!

According to XXX you must send a tell to decline people, but not to join when outside of LFM specifications. I highly doubt the XXX person displays as much courtesy as he demands from others.

At any rate, it is the LFMer's discretion to set the lfm up and accept or decline as he or she sees fit, end of story.

And the fact that you retyped that whole lame discussion... instead of just posting a screen shot... just what are you trying to achieve? A pat on the back?
