Default Turbine points are the new favor system

400 Coin lords get you: Nothing
    250 twelve get you: Nothing
Next house K ran will get you: Nothing

Want something that should otherwise be available for more house K favor.. Say a bank slot?

$10-12 USD (depending on the point package you select) per character. Only $120 for a full VIP account!

geez thanks turbine. Everyone loves paying real money instead of playing the game.

    ugh.

(PS: 250 the twelve on lamnani actually even gave you a huge bag, but they PURPOSELY took it out right before it went live, as Turbine marketing relased.. Hey the huge bags are on the store, we'll make more money!, take it out)

Why give out cool new rewards for in game accomplishments when they can sell them?

Silly Shade, don't you know Turbine is powered but their fans? They have to get as much out of us as possible before we cease to function.

Edit: from day one I said that the store should be limitted to meta-game content but Turbine has obviously disagreed from day one.

This is also true for tomes, i now loot a +2 tome and don't rejoice at all since you can get one anytime you want. 1750 favor is insignificant... And mana pots and and and...

If they keep adding new stuff at these incredibly high prices they are going to nickel and dime the playerbase right into the next new release that come their way!!

I've figured out what went wrong with microtransactions!

You know those bunny hats that cost 5TP (Whoops, 50TP... had a little typo there!)?

You remember those 100 shot major mneuminocs that cost 495 TP (Whoops, 1495TP... had a little typo there!)?

My theory is that when Turbine told us they were moving to the microtransaction model, that too was a typo. They meant macrotransaction, surely.

Now where have I heard that before? Who else keeps those from whom they gain their sustenance in an online world, eternally distracted by perpetual digital gratification?

We (Fans of the game) and Turbine tread a fine line between NOT supporting the game and it going under due to lack of funds, or Turbine strangling it's player base out of greed, and as someone else put it nickle and diming us to the point that we jump onto the next game simply out of frustration and the weariness/suspicion and resentment that being nickle and dimed causes.

Maybe all these odd "opps" price points may have just been ninja marketing research... Remember the bank tab upgrade was 398 tps for an hour or two, so there seems to be a pattern of screw ups here, including monk sale price, bunny hats, mnemonic pots etc.

I wish I had taken the "don't see the sequels" pill never seen a more interesting high concept Sci fi premis in a movie, only to be turned into pure action movie schlock in the space of one sequel.

You know, if Turbine were to halve the prices for everything in the DDO store then they'd probably more than double their revenue for that given month.
I really only find it worth spending any points when something is up for a sale, but if everything is always on a sale and we didn't have this game of holding out for the next deal then I'd be spending more points with pleasure.

I'm sure that Turbine has some data about our buying habits under a sale and regulatory, so they know that they could be making a whole lot more if everything was permanently on sale.
