    Default wizard farming-strats and locations

So I just hit lvl 7 and got firwall, and also just went vip.

I would like to use my wiz to help outfit my other toons, namely a ranger and a bard, with some low to mid lvl gear. Other than farming some muckbanes, where can I farm some good items? WW? Sharn? Stk?

What strats do you guys use for faming items in low lvl quests? Right now I'm enjoying(kinda) buffing up, aggroing everything in durks, and watching it cook in my firewall. Then checking to see if muck is there(which he rarely is)

Anybody have any tips as to where/when/how to farm low lvl gear and collectables in the lvl 1-7 range?

    Thanks in advance guys

I would say take a look at the named item list and see what you like, and then farm from there. The new sentinels pack has some interesting items, and the chain quests (WW, STK, Tangleroot, Delera's) are always favorites for their named items and low ML random items.

I suppose the best strategy is to keep questing and leveling. Having a much higher level character will help ease outfit any later toons you wish to level up. With the money you get from a single quest in say... level 14 or 15 you will make enough money to buy 20 Muckbanes.

You seem to have the grinding strategy down pat, gathering aggro and killing mobs in packs seems to be the ideal caster strat for mana management. If you had the brains to figure this out on your own, I've no doubt you'll do fine to farm and grind your way to higher level.

You may want to check out the Named loot and static reward list thread. Pardon me that I don't have a link for oyu, but a quick search on the forum should provide it. That thread should have a good list of items for you to aspire towards and try and farm, should you wish to.
I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it.

In you opinion, which of those quest chains seem the best "bang for your buck". I'm looking for best loot vs time spent, not out of lazyness, just from an efficiency standpoint.

If you guys where starting a new toon, where would you go to get gear to outfit him?

Edit. Please pardon any spelling or grammer mistakes. I am trying to post from the blackberry.

honestly, if you are looking for "bang for your buck" stop worrying about low level gear and start leveling. Gear in this game isn't like others where if you don't have it, don't bother, at low levels especially. Level up that wizard to the 12-15 range and start worrying about gear a little, farming taps and such.

For outfitting your other toons, earn some plat and buy "twink" items off the AH, because other than a few named items, at low levels not much is worth farming for.

    For all of your toons:
Voice of the Master (Delera's Tomb)
Minos Legens (The Orchard of the Macabre)

Other than that, it's pretty much anyone's guess.

I agree with the other posters who have suggested you just go level.

Once you're higher level (12-20 range), you can farm for exceptional gear in easily farmed areas (Bloodstone, Spellstoring Ring and Firestorm Greaves in the Desert; Tapestries in the Orchard) and for gold (a round of a small section of The Vale will usually net you 50,000-100,000gp in 10-20 minutes). At which point, in addition to your normal questing (Shroud can bring in 2-300,000gp for 30 min to an hour's worth of effort), you should be raking in a lot of cash with which you can purchase items for your other characters from Brokers and the AH.
