    Default Updated

    Final changes for the weekend.

    Updated:
    -- Performance updates in parsing
-- Added support for selecting character by Forum Name. To use this feature, enter your forum name in the main for, or use the ?playerName=<Forum Name> parameter on the URL (ex: http://laferteconsulting.com/myddo/m...=shadow_flayer ). Note that this will only show characters that are not marked private in my.ddo.com and it will only show characters that have been active in the last 4 days.

Is anyone interested in getting the data back as an XML feed rather than HTML? Is so, post here or send me a PM and I'll put that on the to-do list.

Default Updated: Added Epic Timers, misc.

    Updated:
-- Epic quest timers added. Please note that there is no way to determine whether you ran a quest on Epic, so it is assumed that the last execution of the quest was on Epic. For all you GETters out there, add viewEpic=true to show Epic quests
-- Split Forum Name and Character Name input options into two tabs. Character Name is the default. Click between Character and Forum Name at the top of the app to switch between the two.
    -- Stylesheet update
    -- More performance changes

Epic Quest timers seem to be off by 8 hours (it's a 16hr timer).

Thanks again for such a nice app/website. So much better than the in-game "/quest".

P.S. What I meant by my HTC phone comment was that it fits the screen perfectly and looks great

Looks great! And you are correct. I had the timers at 24 hours, and have confirmed they should be 16. Updating in a minute.

Oh, and thanks all for using the app. So far you've requested raid timer information over 6,000 times.

    Default add raid flagging status?

I didn't see anyone else suggest this, so I thought I would. I know it would be a lot more work, since different raids have different flagging conditions, but I can see this avoiding a lot of problems.

It's pretty much working as an app now, just add a shortcut to the homescreen from the character select page and you are away! If you give it a few seconds before clicking add it loads up a nice ddo icon too.

Loved it to begin with, loving it more every day!

I would like to add a feature that tells you which raids a character is flagged for. It gets a bit complicated though, and requires a lot of data (some of which may not be there for older characters that haven't been used in a while). I'm in the middle of moving home and office over the next two weeks. Once that is done I'll look into it again.

Actually, the data just isn't there for older characters unless they ran the flagging quests again. Doesn't matter if they've been used recent or not.

Yea, something to drop onto my wish list for info my.ddo.com could provide: query a quest a see if the user completed it (with accurate result from game). Yes, a big wish.

ooo.. they'll have to be careful unless they want to let slip new quest names. *chuckles*

Another minor nitpick I found. With epic quests, the timer starts on COMPLETION, not on turn-in.

For instance, I've run epic WK, but forgot my quest reward. After 11 hours I came back and collected it (turn-in).

I can actually repeat the quest in 5 hours, but the app timer will show full 16 hour time-out.

This was working this morning for me (using the forum name check) but isn't working any longer.
I'm just given a black screen with no info.

Any chance we can get a "guild" version. Say guildName=? Table with list of accountName, charName and timers.

Might be useful for planning guild runs.

So noted. I'll try and get to this in the next day or so.

I'm holding off on a guild option for search until my.ddo.com becomes a bit more useful for guilds. For example, for the two guilds that I am in on Thelanis there are multiple entries in my.ddo.com and the guild activty logs don't work properly. While I can certainly parse through the full list of guild members and then query each guild member for activity, that is a potentially a lot of requests (at least one per guild character in the list, and several for each depending on how active the characters are) and I fear the response time will be slower than any of us would like.

Until we get good guild support in my.ddo.com, I suggest putting a list of character names in the guild that you would like to keep track of in a request something like this:

Something is certainly up for some requests. I'll look into it.
