    Question inflicting statius effects

im running a primary rouge build, working on dps. i frequently find myself running solo.

what im looking for is ways to help me increase my cowd controll or make mobs vonorable to my sneak atacks since thats where moast of my dps is.

i curently have clickies for hypno. for CC
what clickies can i look for to cause SA dmg?

    hold?

Don't know much in the way of clickable items.

When in groups (and I know you mostly solo), diplomacy is great.

If you're running around by yourself, you can use bluff to open up a sneak attack opportunity. Deception weapons have a chance of rendering a target vulnerable to sneak attack (and buff your bluff as well).

If you've got some investment in Use Magic Device, scrolls that can cause sneak attack vulnerability would include blindness and glitterdust... I'd go with glitterdust because it's AoE and you can drag monsters through repeatedly if they make a save.

Later on you'll be able to craft weapons that blind on critical hits... blinded enemies are automatic sneak attacks.

    Good luck!

thanx the blind and gitterdust sound like just the type of things im looking for, curently im looking at duel wielding a pair of Msiamas Fang ( doublt thats spelled right) i under stand that the Bluff bobus dsnt stack. but does anyone know if the deception is needed on both wep or only on one? in essence is it needed on the wep that hits to triger it, iv heard that there are sum wep that share their enhancement with the wep in the other slot

Deception is a weapon proc, and as such having it on both weapons increases the chances of it going off.

Backstabbing is an example of an effect usually found on weapons (but also sometimes on other gear, usually named gear) that applies to both weapons, but doesn't stack.

A combination of glitterdust and bluff may be your best bet, although bluffing in combat is a terrible idea, especially solo, because you'll be getting beat on while the animation plays out, using bluff to pull a single enemy at a time into a cloud of glitterdust will make your soloing much easier.

For causing blind, everbright weapons also work (blind clicky), and they also serve as handy rustmonster/ooze weapons.

I like to summon monsters, too ... let them go get aggro (and even buff them up if ya want), then come up and sneak attack. Its not extremely effective, though, until you get higher up and can summon one that can stick around a while, like the efreeti, cat, or the big hezrou (who is pretty fun to have in your pocket).

At low-middle level, weapons which drain ability points (weakening, maladroit, wounding, enfeebling, bonebreaking, puncturing) are a good options; when any ability hits zero, all hits are critical and sneakattack applies. Decent knowledge of what you are facing (i.e. which of their abilities is lower than others) makes things easier.
However, this approach doesn't help against foes immune to ability damage (e.g. undeads, purple-named bosses) and works only to some extent against red named bosses (using ability damage, their abilities can lose only 10 points each and cannot hit zero).

At higher level, Radiance II weapons are the your option: critical hits blind targets and blind targets are vulnerable to sneakattacks.
On Thelanis: Hallelujah (EK wraith) - Jerryrigged Juggernaut (Fiend Warlock) - Sepulchral (Druid) - Chopchopchop (Monk) - Alleyshadow (retired gimped monkcher). Formerly on Keeper : Misericordia (Thug) - Mumbo Jumbo (Battle Caster) - Infernal Can (WF Kinda Cleric) - Halleluyah (Melee Spellsinger).

Weighted weapons can cause stuns, which yield Sneak Attacks as well.
Soundburst causes an AOE stun, which works too.
Charmed monsters can take aggro off you, permitting Sneak Attacks.

Once mobs are stat drained, or Held, you get auto-crits. Not Sneak attacks. (Still good though.)

I do believe sleet storm works, as well (or so I was told)
