    1. Which passive past life feats would benefit this build the most:
    - The passive 5% healing amp from Paladin past life would be nice for the free heals.
    - +1 to Evocation DC's from sorcerer
I'm currently 20 FvS, thinking of going a different class 2nd life and 3rd life FvS again. Or would it be better to just go Fvs -> Fvs -> Fvs?
It really depends on just how many lives you're looking to do, and how much focus you want.

Nearly all past lives are useful to the build.
Wizard: Spell pen - Destruction, Implosion
FvS: Spell pen (as above), SP
Sorc: +Evoc DCs (BB, Implosion), SP
    Barb: HP, everyone needs that.
    Fighter: +tohit
    Monk: +damage
    Rogue: +sneak attack
    Paladin: Healing amp
Ranger: Stacking resists (on top of FvS stacking resists)

It's really only Clerics and Bards that don't offer much in the way of past life benefits...Cleric only helps when using heal spells against undead, and Bard doesn't do much at all.

    2. With the changes to disruption in u9, would a triple pos longsword in offhand be viable (holy/goodburst/30% healing amp)?
Greater disruption becomes pretty awe inspiring vs undead, at 6d6 per hit, plus the chance to disrupt. You could go with the healing amp, or the good blast.

I wouldn't go overboard on healing amp when you are your own healer though. You'll already be able to pick up the first rank of human recovery pretty cheap. Biggest benefit would be using the SovHost capstone on yourself for significant numbers (max+empower+ potency and it only hits about 50-60). May as well go crazy and make a downtime item for yourself, and go with all 3 tiers of healing amp :P

    Default Frowning patriarch...

...Is the name of my fvs toon build.I havent seen any fvs sword and board on ghallanda so I'm pretty sure I still stand alone. What I suceeded in doing was what I intended;to have a toon that can heal any raid and solo any quest without using heal scrolls or pots(if I have to use scrolls or pots then the dps needs to reroll or tr).
I'm not going to breakdown every little detail of my toon,it's not nessasary. What i will do is say I have 571 hp(will be 591 with +3 tome/611 with +4 and ship buff +1)3153 sp(will be 3187 with +3 tome)str is 20(22 max out with +4 tome if ever i get one) con 24.
my armor class unbuffed is 42,my lowest save is reflex but I can take the damage.I intended to be tough, with heals that hit good, swings that do about 30(60 crits)damage, offensive spells that hit pretty hard(bb's bout 400 damage/divine punishment starting at bout 100),and the full range of buffing spells for parties.I heard tell that concordant opposition items don't stack.Well I have 4 of them and they work the same as ever plus each of my con opps serves different purposes in addition to sp/hp buffs(one gives sp and 2 immunities another gives major healing lore and the other 2 immunities the weapon gives superior devotion 6 blah blah)moslt though it ends up working out like this in combat with one,a dozen,or 2 dozen mobs;the mobs hit me and 10 damage is absorbed by dr,I take a few points of damage and get about 30 extra, the bonus hp tend to even out about 50-80 and I hover around that,if the combat lasts for a min. of real time then that equals about 100-150 sp.It's pretty much a relentlessly immovable toon until I hit tower of despair/epic quests then I am just the healer again.

    Default noob question

    Spell Points:
    1730 base
    232 CHR Bonus
    150 EotS
    400 Archmagi
    300 Exceptional
From where that 300 Exceptional comes from? and the EotS is from a gs item?

EotS = Energy of the Scion. FvS Enhancement Line.

    300 Exceptional is Greensteel.

    Default Spell List

I just returned to the game this week, and found your Superior Soul build. I think its brilliant especially for someone who has just returned.

I do have a question though and I did go though each page. Its been asked by a few people, but I dont believe you answered it. Matuse did though with his spell list.

Is your spell list the same as your evoker build or did you throw in some changes along the way?

1- Nightshield, Divine Favor, Remove Fear, Protection From Evil
2- Resist Energy, Aid, Deific Vengeance, Cure Moderate
3- Mass Aid, Cure Serious, Magic Circle Against Evil, Remove Curse
4- Divine Power, Freedom Of Movement, Holy Smite, Recitation
5- Break Enchantment, Greater Command, Pro: Elements, Raise Dead
6- Heal, Mass Cure Moderate, Blade Barrier
7- Destruction, Mass Pro: Elements, Greater Restoration
8- Mass Death Ward, Summon Monster VIII, Mass Cure Critical
9- Implosion, True Rez, Mass Heal
That is an outdated list. There have been several changes to spells patched in since then, plus the introduction of the Angel of Vengeance.

My new and improved L20 spell list with AoV-II is:

    L1 - Unchanged
    L2 - Unchanged
L3 - Cure Serious, Prayer, Remove Curse, Magic Circle Against Evil
    L4 - Unchanged
L5 - Break Enchantment, Divine Punishment, Symbol of Pain, Raise Dead*
    L6 - Unchanged
    L7 - Unchanged
L8 - Mass Death Ward, Summon Monster VIII, Holy Aura
    L9 - Unchanged

*- You want Greater Command in here at lower levels, particularly for Gianthold. At 20th, stuff saves too often (or has too much spell resistance, or is just flat out immune), and I found myself never using it. Symbol Of Pain has proven quite spiffy, however. Kite stuff through it a few times along with a blade barrier, and some of them will fail against the Symbol (which checks Fort instead of Ref), and get a -4 vs the barrier. Great for evaders.

With AoV II, it also required a revamp of the enhancement list. This is for my newer human FvS (my drow FvS is a barbarian right now):

I am toying with the idea of TRing my Evoker into a Half-Elf version of this Superior Soul. I've never been a hard core raider in any MMO that i've played, but I do enjoy dabbling here and there. I mostly find myself solo farming or just sipping a few beers and killing time instead of staring at the telvision. Here's the build that I've worked out.
A few thoughts on the Dilettante Feats
Rogue - I chose it because it seemed to have the most low level benefit
Monk - Might take it later at 20 when I most likely will be wearing robes anyways
Paly - Once I can squeeze a base 13 Cha I might have to be all over this
Barb - I think it's +3 DR ... not sure but might be helpful

Default Level 20 and Loving It!

Just wanted to let folks know that I made 20 a few weeks back. I have really enjoyed playing this character a whole lot! I even just made GS goggles last night with 10 HP and 300 SP.

As much fun as this has been, I am heavily considering TRing him and doing it all over again. Note that I changed to the FvS PRE which I thought added some good soloing fun. My big question would be, do I go with this same build to play it safe (it was a ton of fun!) or do I go with a full evoker which also seems fun although a little less self-reliant (is this true?).

Thanks again for sharing this build. Fun times!

    Default Half-elf version ("Half Soul")

I haven't played a FvS yet and have been doing a lot of reading trying to decide which direction to go (pure/hybrid, str vs. wis). I penciled up the following superior soul variation in hopes of adding melee dps and greater BB/heals via empower and would appreciate feedback.

    Ability Scores
    STR 15 + 2 tome + 1 human + 6 item = 24
    DEX 13 + 2 tome + 1 dile + 6 item = 22
    CON 14 + 2 tome + 6 item = 22
    INT 8 + 2 tome = 10
    WIS 16 + 2 tome + 5 lvls + 1 human + 2 FvS + 6 item = 32
    CHA 11 + 2 tome + 1 FvS + 2 Capstone + 6 item = 22

    Feats
    1 Dile-Rogue
    1 Toughness
    3 Extend*
    6 Maximize
    9 TWF (need +2 tome @ 7 to qualify)
    12 quicken
    15 empower
    18 IC: Slashing**

    *swap out?
**Potential alternatives: (casting) heighten (melee) OTWF, Power Attack

Enhancements (numbers in parenthesis are min. req'd levels)
    3 FvS Specialization II (15/18) +2 dmg
    3 FvS Toughness II (1/4)
3 Wand and Scroll Mastery II (2/6)
    2 FvS Charisma I (2)
    6 FvS Wisdom II (4/8)
    4 Unyielding Sovereignty (6) any
    6 Life Magic IV (1/4/7/10) +40%
6 Energy of Scion III (1/5/9)
    6 Smiting III (1/4/7)
6 Angel of Vengeance II (6/12)
2 Capstone (DR and free spell)
    3 Racial Toughness II (3/6)
    6 Improved Recovery II (2/6)
    10 Human Versatility IV (1/4/7/10)
    2 Human Adaptability (5)
    4 Human Gr. Adaptability (13)
    6 Rogue Dile II (5/15)
    2 Rogue Dex I (9)

Main changes from superior soul: trade iTWF and gTWF, 1 skill point, 2 dex FOR empower, +3d6 sneak attack, +2 con. Moving con to int on my build and swapping empower for gTWF on the original build, it boils down to iTWF vs +3d6 sneak attack and possibly scimmys vs. loss of free CLW at lvl 20.

    1) I'm thinking of using a debuff short sword in the off-hand so 40% proc rate is not such a big deal compared to iTWF and 60% proc rate. I'm hoping that +3d6 to all attacks somewhat mitigates.

    2) Undying cell for scimmy proficiency (love that 30% crit) & bonuses OR sovereign host for unyielding sovereignty and free CLW? The free CLW seems too good to pass up.

    3) Seems like 3 skill points for level is best for concentration, jump and UMD. What about moving 2 points of con to int?

    4) Any suggestions on feats? I'm thinking swap extend for PA at some point when buff durations seem plenty long.

    Default Epic Thoughts

Impaqt, I just got Bregolaas (my FvS) to level 21 and it is FEAT time. A couple of choices seem to be:
    - Great Two Weapon Fighting
    - Spell Pen
    - A Spell Focus
    - Greater Wisdom (this would get me to 34 instead of 32 with the epic destiny). Albeit, I guess this could continue to grow with the Epic Destiny

I hope I can eventually Twist into a fighting destiny, but I don't fully understand that aspect as of yet.

I appreciate your thoughts on this!

Oh, by the way, I am saving up commendations for the Oath Blade at which point I plan on spending some TP on an alignment change. Woot! That LS seems pretty cool and fun paired up with my greater cursespewing with exceptional WIS on it.
