I think SnB Paladins should be considered the "Newbie" build.

Well, holy sword is certainly better than a metalline of pg weapon, so paladins shouldnt buy those, paladins dont need to farm for minII weapons either, so they can build their shroud items before other melee clases, when you are rich enough you can think of crafting a pair of light2 weapons.

Why not MinII? Or are you saying this because of the Holy Sword spell? Personally, I am going to make a Min II and a Light II weapon. But that's just me.

minII costs a lot of materials, and will not give you any advantage over a holy sword (math geeks say that is less than a 2% increase on dps over holy sword), so unless you need the +4 insight bonus to ac in tier 3, minII is a waste for a paladin.

2% is 2%. People grind 20 completions for much less. I made my accessory and lit2 first, but min2 is on the to-do list. Gathering mats and casting holy sword at logon is a pain.

It isn't? Hmmm....you can create a weapon that bypasses raid boss DR with it. Imho, that's very important! Unless you can afford outrageous prices on the AH or get lucky, as I have, and found a metalline of PG at a decent price.

OP, holy sword is very important to a pally. I haven't been in the game that long, but everyone I have spoken to told me to use this until you can craft something better. I've also done pretty well with my pally and made decent enough plat to be able to afford 1 metalline LS of PG off the AH for something close to double the base price.

You haven't been in the game that long....holy sword is a situational spell at best. If you are running boss's on normal a triple pos will do more damage. It is when you hit hard and elite that you need a metalline of PG. And frankly those are cheap and easy to find. Look in the pawn shops, the litter the place now.
