    Epic Arraetrikos casts hell ball - the epic spell. Making firestorms greaves not such the elite killer they are now, as it deals everytype of damage. 100+ acid, fire, lightning, cold all in 1. 400+ damage total, (but each may e reduced by resistance spells/items)
    Additionally he sometimes likes to cast mass dispell (actaully he already does this 1% of the time on normal, but on epic its more like 20% of the time), removing all the melee's buffs around him (not anyone staying back at range)
    Suulomades.. Epic Suulomades.
    At 5% health he will teleport away and send waves upon waves of epic detanator bats at you. These can't be killed, they just suicide asplod on your face. So if your healers aren't prepared, you all die. But if they are, you heal thru and he comes back down for the final battle. For the last bit he casts his chain abliity almost continuously.
    Do you even play a healer??? Or are just you looking for 10 clerics and 1 warchanter bard to carry you through your "epic" Shroud?

    Stop trolling. Getting old. Yea you don't like my ideas, so you post on all of my threads with whatever nonsense you can think up. We get it. But seriously, get a better hobby.

    1 Melee couldn't beat phase4 no matter how powerful they were, Or maybe you didn't notice the massive healing boost I gave the gnolls. Nor could they do phase2 and probably not 3.

    I think the ideal group would be 9 melee, 1 healer, 1 arcane, 1 bard. Epic is all about hte DPS.

    I do play a lvl20 epic gearred healer and there are tons of healers that would love to play this raid. Good epic healers love tough situations to heal thru. A boring raid thats easy to heal is of no interest to them.

    if epic is about dps then your kamikaze bats dont fit in....as dps does nothing to them

    They should turn the tables and the preferred group should be 10 caster types and 2 melee at most.

    I think the bats are there more to balance it out, as it forces it not so much as a DPS check, as an overall skill check for every role involved (in this case, DPS and Healers I guess). So it's a heal check...mostly. Still gotta hope that your raiders aren't 300 hp rolls of toilet paper.

    The core problem is, of course, lag. I'd love a good challenge, but with as much epic DPS is going to be bogging down the server, that's going to be mighty rough at times.

    I did.

    More DPS = suulo down to 5% fast = Healer has more SP left to heal thru bats = More likely to win.

    Epic is about DPS.

    There are things I don't get:

    1) How can you do part 3 if prism wall spawns immeadeatly (killing a loading person immeadeatly) and no-one else can get to him?

    2) Why the **** mess up the entire storyline by adding Suulomades to this? He has NOTHING to do with this, as he is in the subterrane invading another part of Eberron. You could also add Xy'zzy and the LoB or Toven, would make as much sense

    3) Why add a factor that, like you stated, wipe the raid if you have bad luck. Luck should NEVER determine odds on succes when everyone plays well.

    4) The 'max stats' in phase 3 are a bit over the top. We don't want to waste store pots on a raid where drop rates are too low.

    5) Also you are have anything but barbarians and what people call 'niche builds' like my extreme HP FvS (which I could prove is not just a niche build but whtever) in it since you claim Arraetrikos should hit 400+ on random aggro? Bit over the top? No? You can also add MOAR raids where good rogues are useless. And ofc other low HP classes.

    6) On epic GS: +4 exc stat? Rlly? Make the difference between 'good' and 'pro' like 10 times higher?

    7) Mistress of pain is good but don't ever add gender differences apart from look, it screws several existing characters, as TR'ing cannot change gender

    Other from these your ideas aren't too bad, I likeda couple of them for sure, but I'd like, as stated before, a new raid for epic gs more. Nice on making new ideas tho!!!

    7 ways to put down my ideas, then you follow up with some compliment. Great post, appreciate the put downs and vast knowledge of my characters you displayed.

    And yea had the Lord of Blades existed at the time I thought up this idea (early 2010), I surely would of put him in phase 6 =) )

    And if you think 400 damage is too much for a top difficulty raid, well hope ya dont try the upcoming epic elite. 400 spell damage is a joke to epic level25 characters prepared for elite challenges.

    Lvl25 tanks have 1600+ hp and 50%+ mitigation ability.. Such damage would actaully be trivial to them in the days of U14.

    PS: Epic Shroud exists and I played it recently. It's very much like my proposal too - crazy hard =)
    And a TON more then +4 stats are coming too. Max potential stats are going up around +20 in strength alone. The top numbers will continue to only be available to the most hardcore epic players. Hope ya don't mind! Personally i'll enjoy my 120+ strength score

    Problem is the head honchos up at WB don't care to send it live, even years later. It's just sitting in limbo, only to be played occoasionally on Lamannia whener the devs want to secretly unlock it again.

    As a reward for being so kind as to bump my old idea, I leave you with this screenshot of the extremely rare, possibly never before seen ss of Epic Shroud loot in it's true glory:



    Kinda feel bad for the devs who undoubtly worked very hard on Epic Shroud all those years ago. They did a excellent job, it's very well designed, fun to play and clearly has very nice loot. But there work can't be enjoyed or complimented by the masses because it remains locked. It's a sad fate.

    Epic shroud could be cool, its how I see it:

    #1:
    Portals are not just standing here, they generate swarms of monsters. How player deals with trash is their choice- instakills (if there is a lot of casters and they somehow are not on cooldown all the time), crowd control or AoE damage. Portals also have got some type of guard, so they hit back melees too. ^^
    #2:
    Lieutenants* must all die at once, each of them must be dragged to separate corner of the map, otherwise it is respawned 1 second after kill. If lt. is killed in corner, it comes back after 3d2 seconds to crystal. So all monsters must die withing 3-6 seconds in other part of the map, and someone must be camping at crystal.
    #3:
    Puzzles are/should be solved by everyone, if they don't bother to leard how to do puzzles, or how to use goggle, or even how to copy given link from game to browser, they should not be in normal shroud, not to mention epic. Everyone is placed into separate room, and can't leave until puzzle is done, but can be entered from the other side by player who already done their puzzle, to solve for pikers, lagging people or when shortmanning. There are 6 minutes and 66 seconds to defeat this phase, to give time for lagging people to get in.
    #4:
    Figth should be more hardcore, with more scouts and spawns first time boss'es HP is reducet do 90%/80% etc of maximum value. Round should take less time, and harry casts greater dispel magic on himself when he is up. Also, more random blades of course . Gnolls heal faster, and don't stop until dead, regardless of CC (I think its how it works rigth now, but I'm not sure).
    #5:
    Mana pools are removed. Raise dead is impossible. Harry summons 1d6 barbazu each time he loses 5% health (including when he's healed). 1d3 gnolls are summoned each 30 seconds. Blades spawns and goes randomly in all directions.

    No phase 6. When outsider is slain, it is sent back to its original plane of existance.

    Raid timer is not bestowed at completion of whole raid, but at completion of each single phase, and is increased by few hours after next phase is beaten (for example, beating epic phase 1 bestows all participants 6 hours timer, beating phase 2 increases it to 12 hours etc), so players can't farm epic shroud chests.

    Chests gives standard shroud materials in addition to epic version of energy cells, ingredients and shards. There are again 3 sizes of epic GS enhancements, which are added to existing items or weapons.
    1st: depending on what you craft, you may get different colour of augment slot (colorless or red for weapons, colorless, blue or yellow for accesiories).
    2nd: You get additional augment slot (violet, green or orange) of your choice.
    3rd: You item get additional properties. You may use single or double imbued shard. Devs should use their wisdom to decide what to put in there .

    I don't know would it be better or worse than any other shroud suggestion(s)

    I don't really like random bosses are placed just for the diffiulty increase. You could add Arlos as raid boss in Hound as optional, but woudn't make sense. The difference in this example is more extreme, since Harry and Sully are natives from the same plane, but apart from their native plane and their rank in Shavarath armies, they dont have anything in common (they both appear in ToD since that's where they need to inform their leaders, each about their own invasion

    Arraetrikos can't be tanked, that is the entire problem here. It might slipped your mind because I'm sure you do know that :-).

    You're right here, when posted I didn't read release notes yet/epic destinies so I didn't know stats get bumped that much, +3 or +4 wouldn't be much of a difference

    Also you must know I didn't intend to break you down, I just wanted to say what I didnt like about it (means everything but these 7 parts I liked ) So generally, as stated before, it's a good idea and if they make epic shroud instead of new raid your idea is a good start to build upon ^^

    I'm all for moving epic into every quest and would be happy if the tbags dropped more and had the epic token. Maybe add in the possibility of a random scroll here or there. IMHO it would give new life to quests no one does.

    Yes he can.

    You just need four tanks instead of 1, so you can block him in.

    Or in phase 3, even 3 works to set up a sort of wall, rest of party can hide behind.

    In phase 4 he's stationary
    In phase 5, if u block him in how's melee DPS gonna kill him
    Besides, 4 tanks is serious DPS reduction? Not?
    Oh, and if u block him in, his aggro is still random: Phase 4 with MS (which u wanted to hit alot more) and phase 5 by teleporting other within melee range OR MS

    um no.. Blocking him in increases dps. As it's much easier to hit a stationary opponent.
