Congrats. But what you did and how you did it really doesn't concern me. If It did, I would maybe read the Thelanis forums, in the several years Ive played ddo - i've never bothered to look at them.

I'll make my groups how I like to make them, and you make yours how you like to make them. One thing you can be sure of is that I'll never be on your forums telling how much better Khyber is then you, we know and we really don't need to post something to rub it other servers faces.

Could I beat the raid with all lvl16s and lots of monks the same as you? Probably, but I'd never bother to try, it's not my style.

What way is the "right" way to do it is really not up for debate. It's a game and everyone can enjoy things there own way.

Still hasn't been defeated on Khyber. Tonight will be his first elite death.

Time: Tonight - Friday April 8th, 8 PM Eastern (7 Central)

Need a very specialized crew to pull this one. So please don't get too upset if I can't fit you in.. Have most spots filled already with friends but there might be 1-2 to snag so check with me tonight. Will be mostly the same crew from my previous elite runs I've lead.

Pretty much max dps melees only. Sorry no monks. Elite players can handle stuns just fine thanks. Gonna take as few casters/clrs as possible keep the DPS up.

Please have boots AND mantles. Mantles are particularly important to avoid the first few stuns while we get setup. I will help people run Threnal right now if you guys are still missing mantles , I know some of you are.

As always for any crazy endevours like this one, I will provide all heal scrolls and mana potions. Tho I don't think we will need too many =)

I'll probably tank Horoth. I have some uber WF in mind for Suulo.

"necesitate" ? lol. No where in my post does it say anything of the kind.

The party I want is going to be the part I want. You can make the party you want too, that's the beauty of the game. Whats nessasary, or what isn't, doesnt factor into that for me.

If I only took the minimum that was nessasary and hoped for the best for every raid I lead, the same players wouldn't join my raids, as what I'm know for wouldn't happen quite as often. I am everything everyone says I am, and that won't change.

Some players may enjoy always taking the bare minimum possible and forcing the upmost challenge upon themselves at all times. Thats cool. But that ain't me. I enjoy a challenge, and I enjoy crushing a challenging raid into the ground even more.

Aparently some people mis-read my post as "This is the only way possible in the game ever to do this and I hate monks"

So just quote that line when your looking to quote me out of context next time .

Well, I am sorry to come off as being annoyed, and believe me, Shade is his own entity to which I give no credence other than he is an adept and knowlegable player of DDO. His pitfalls are well known on Khyber, and they are many. I guess I got to my 5th stage of being a monk:

1) Denial: what do you mean I don't DPS like a Bezerker frenzied WF Barbarian? I have alot more attacks!!
2) Anger: Turbine gimped me!!!! those F**ckers!
3) Bargaining: If I get 2 TOD rings, an Icey and +17 holy handwraps of ultimate evil outsider bane, then I'll have uber DPS!! right?
4) Depression: Meh.... I still can't out DPS those darn min maxers...
5) Aceptance: Monks rock, are really fun to play, do just fine for all content, and there are a lot of people who simply will never accept monks as a valid melee class.

So I guess what I meant was, don't waste your breath on Shade trying to defend monks, just move on, people with his mindset will not see your point of view. Better to post in the monk forums and help other people make good monks! T

my guess is that they're still handing out the 'axer package' at the entrance. cause if your buff bar doesnt run off ur monitor then you're doing something wrong.
