Or even addressed in any kind of fashion from any kind of official? What is the point of these suggestion forums anyway when the suggestions are ignored until the posts are buried out of sight?

As stated befor this is lag realted. It happens to everyone at least once and those (puts on fire resist and prot) with crappy CPU/connections more than most. This isn't a software issue but a hard ware issue.....yours to be exact. It happens to all of us.

The Grease spell, picked it up to annoy a certain friend of mine. But it does not function the way it is supposed to, according to the spell description < Covers the ground with a 10-ft square layer of slippery grease, forcing targets to make a reflex save or fall (affects party members). > At my level it is supposed to be a DC 24 reflex save or fall. The spell description even says Spell Save DC:24. It does not work properly. I saved against it several times with saves that were well below 24.
Just because you base save is below 24 doesnt mean you cant make the save. Anbody can make it by getting a 20 (auto-save) or byhaving a total save (base + roll) of 24. It works properly.

hmmm, I am trying to think of a game I played that didnt have some kind of bug.....

Its nice to say that Turbine should fix all of the bugs in the game, but thats one of the things in life that is far easier to say that to do. Fixing bugs is not nearly as easy as finding them. It gets even more interesting when you are dealing with thousands of users with a nearly infinite number of hardware configurations that could be conflicting with your work. All those hundreds of lines of code touch each other in a delicate dance of death. Ah, the joy of destroying a month of work by setting a variable to integer instead of whole number and not finding it for a few days....

...and thats just the obvious bugs. That dosent include the more subjective issues like Dungeon Alert, where "fixing" it to one group means "nerfing" or "breaking" it to others.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.
