Does Implosion have Spell Pen Checks

I am currently rapidly approaching level 15 and my last two feats were going to be for spell focus and greater spell focus:evocation.....I am concerned tho that my 23 spell pen at level 20 will not be high enough for stuff like Amarath.

Anyone know if this spell does actually have a Spell Pen. check...and if so do u think 23 spell pen on 9th level spells will be enough?

I had planned on trying to get greater spell pen VIII on my DT armor and using Improved Shattermantle weps for 8th level and lower spells.

That's lame, it has a long cooldown compared to Wail, I would think we would get some kind of advantage....oh well...how about the Spell Pen 23 at 20th...do u think it will be sufficient?

The advantage is it lasts for a few seconds, and destroys targets randomly that are near you, rather then just getting one attempt to kill everything within a certain range.

Also, the advantage is it's divine and thus does not suffer from arcane spell failure.

Very true...was being shortsighted...good points...now about that 23 spell pen question I had....

I've never focused too hard on spell pen and I'm not sure I've ever seen Implosion bounce off of SR. The ones that live through it are more often from saves, and their save is a function of your spell DC. (Mostly) your wisdom mod.
