screen freezes up

my screen freezes up completely after the Turbine screen. Goes to first shot and nothing. I do get a picture of a demon walking in fire and it stays on that screen. No sound nothing.

Can anyone help please

I think what you describe is about the same thing happening to me. I have not been able to connect to the game since Monday's update without locking up before the character select menu. At that point, I also can not Alt-Tab or Alt+esc out of DDO to another app or my desktop.

I do know it is NOT an issue of needing to re-add the DnD client to the list of programs that can clear the firewall, which has happened to me in the past.

Gonna keep experimenting but I don't really want the annoyance of re-installing the game right now, especially since I dont know that this would even fix it, so I haven't tried that...yet.

Does anyone have any ideas as far as a direction to look here?
The timing for this is awful as I have been engaged in actively trying find a guild I am compatible with, have made contact with those I like and now would really like to be able to group with some people to achieve those ends...it prolly looks bad that I am not even in the game after the efforts I have put forth to communicate with guild leaders and such.

I finally got to play. I uninstalled DDO and reinstalled it. Also got a new Router. not sure which helped but it's ok now.

try that Ristretto it worked for me. Thanks for the response
