    Cool Crucible run

i think i feel what you vet felt when you all first ran crucible years ago....

109 mins long, me guiding through maze

someone died after he pulled I, so we had to go all the way around the north (H) and get him only to realize our healer died. So we had to go back around to get our bard that could raise to raise him, then the FvS to raise me and the first person to die....

but it gets better, after spending an endless amount of time finishing the maze, we processed to the second horn, no problem there

getting past the maze while on the top of it proved difficult also within all the sleet storms and mephits we managed to kill everyone, but after me repeataly saying to not pull switches someone still did and so instead of just going north like everyone else we went east from center

the swim, was a nice moment for my cause i am an AC build and have no evasion but both the people that did it died so one released and came back

    the end part was easy

so now all you vets that say you dont know what is was like when you had to learn everything...
    i now do

if you were in that group then thanks this is not meant to bash you at all, but a thanks that you actually stayed after that amount of time and instead of going to a different group that could have got it done in less then a hour

Having to learn Crucible "back in the day" -VS- kinda knowing it but running around with a bunch of people who dont know it / dont listen, are 2 different things.

I am not a crotchety old bastid that wines about having to learn all the old quests back in 1906 from scratch however.

I bought DDO on Edison Cylinders. Loaded up real nice on that TI99-4A.

actually i learned quite a bit from that run.... i like to lead my own groups anyways just cause i like to let people prove what ever build they have instead of instanly myddoing them, there was a bard 6/ ftr 4/ rogue 2 that i was skeptical about though in that group >.> but he did great!

I like this story I to came after awhile of ddo being out and going threw the dungeon your first time not knowing and heck even wiping is something that cant be measured.

My experience was Wiz King it was all of our first time in there even though the quest had been around for awhile and I could have been dragged watching the behinds of others in a zerg we took our time explored every nook and cranny and got pretty close to beating it but failed. And if it had not been too late for many of the group we would have stayed till we won (and we went back to beat it on a later day).

Needless to say even with the wipe it was fun I made friends that still play this game even though we dont run together much right now id run with them again just for the fact that they were willing to go threw something new and unknown it was exciting and not many get to feel that feeling. So im glad to see you got to

To clarify, there were quite a few threads about 6 months ago about F2P froobs etc not having to learn quests from scratch due to riding vets coat tails. This was actually usually a point made in other threads about new players needing to get a grip on (insert froob targeted vent topic here). Some older players griped about "having to learn quests from scratch during the xp debt days with less quality equipment" for example. Thats where my /sarcasm was going anyhow...as I thought many of these points were nonsense, or in the least, overstated. It sounded alot to me like the "I walked up hill against the wind both ways to and from school back in my day" type of sarcasm.

Wow successful story about the "so Terrible" Crucible, sound like a different story then the last time i ran it...

And to answer the red highlight : I don't consider myself a "vet", though i never read on the stuff i never done. First time running something is always longer but a lot more instructive.

Aww, but you can also blame the experienced guy who pug but doesn't accept that it is a pug and will take more time, there is also the zerger, the uber-bad leader and i'm sure i'm forgetting a lot of different type of gamer....... /rolleye..
