Black Loch quest?

We all know that the Black Loch area has been made into a quest. But my mule that I left there before access to the area is still there.



I would have thought that any toons left there would have been moved like when the lower harbor was closed off.

Far as I know they haven't removed the Black Loch public instance from the game. I means there's really no reason to is there? Simply becauses theres a quest with pirates there doesn't mean they will always be there..

If you complete the quest, thereby killing all the pirates.. Later going to the public instance and finding no pirates would make perfect sense.

It's always been accesible from a secret door inside 3 barrel cove.

There are no monsters in he area. All of the vendors, trainers and npc's are still there. The only thing I have not found is a spirit binder.

I thought they closed off the instance entirely. I know the main entrance from 3BC is blocked off, but I was not aware that there was another entrance. I wondered how the other toons I have seen on occasion got in.

For the longest time when Lamannia was still the Risia server I had a toon that was still in the marketplace tent well after it had disappeared into a portal on the live server. So conceivably it could be the same thing.

I had a simialar thing happen on Lamannia when they had closed off the DD series of quests by removing the guy in the harbor, BUT, I had bound out on that little island spot so when I died on a test quest, I ended up rezzing out there.

Sometimes things like this can happen.

After the one harbor section was closed and reopened as IQ, I logged into some oooold never played barbarian. Sitting in IQ.
I had another one that logged off in the Wavecrest in the harbor, wound up in the Wavecrest in Korthos.


But, what was the old Black Loch? Anyone mind telling me? It must've been before my time. I've heard the named tossed about.

When they redid 3bc a while back (you were probably here), they set up a new public instance called the black loch, identical to the new quest area, except with npcs etc. You could access it through the bell tower (iirc) in 3bc itself on the far end of the island, or by a boat in the harbour. Seeing as there were no quests stationed there, and it was on the other end of 3bc island, it got almost no traffic, and was shut down.
