    I would drop str to 15 and cha to 17. Unless you plan on putting your 20lvl stat point into cha. Remember you need a 20 cha for dm4 so 17 cha and a +3 tome.Drop melee atk 1 to fit in exalted smite4. Honestly check junts paladin thread he has a solid drow pally template there.

    The net effect is the same: STR 16 + 4 lvl-ups CHA 16 + 1 lvl-up vs STR 15 + 5 lvlups CHA 17. I would rather have an extra point of STR than an odd point of CHA while leveling. I say stick with STR 16 CHA 16: if he finds a +3 CHA tome he can take his final lvl up in CHA; if not he can make do with DM3.

    Any chance you could take a +1 DEX tome before lvl 6? Then you could take ITWF at lvl 6, Imp Crit Pierce at lvl 9, GTWF at lvl 12, Power Attack at 15, and a metamagic feat at 18.
