This is a true story. No clue what his build was. It was a Xorian Cipher quest, and we had a ranger. He was a shuriken throwing ranger. At first, I thought he was being silly, but he never attempted to melee. Needless to say, the piker didn't make the group the second go around.

In my first life (before rerolling, levelling a character on thelanis, and reincarnating) I put up a LFM for Gladewatch. We filled, standard party me (melee probably tempest I at this point), a fighter, healer, caster, rogue and something else. We go in and start fighting. . . around 3 minutes in I realize the other fighter is taking no damage (and has like 2 kills versus my 20+). So I look around for him, and see him running around throwing axes. I say, "don't you use melee weapons? He says, no just throwing axes." Well upon hearing this the caster drops and the healer "dcs." And we all die but mr throwy mcaxey. I say, "you realize why those other guys left right?" To which he responds, "no, why." I answer, "no respectable midlevel melee should only be using throwing weapons." He says, "I lived longer than you didn't I?"

To which I respond by dropping party, squelching my first person ever, and reinviting the other people still in the party that weren't mr throwy. I may not recall his name, but the memory of our acquaintance shall dwell in my mind forever.
