    Default Most efficient healing spells

I'm curious about the most efficient healing spells for each level range. Thanks.

I would expect it to be the most powerful one you're able to cast at that level, although with Empower Healing (+50% boost) costing +10 points, it's not worth metamagicing that onto any healing spell that costs less than 20 points to begin with.

I seem to recall reading something a few years back about cure moderate wounds being the most cost-effective healing spell.

The higher level the heal spell the more efficient it is, unless you are overhealing.

    Depends on enhancements and items.

For mass, I use Mass Cure Mod most of the time- Either a Sup Pot item/Ardor Clciky, Lorrik's. and two levels effificient meta Emp. Healing. Single target- Heal.

It depends on your devotion or potency item really. These items can give your spell a 30%, 40%, or 50% effective boost to your spells. So let's say your an Improve Devotion V scepter. Your cure light wounds mass and your cure critical wounds are going to be your most efficient healing with that 30% increase added to what you can already heal without the scepter.

    Here is an example:

You throw a cure critical w/o any devotion item and it heals for 75hp.

Now put on an Improved Devotion V item. Same spell casted now heals for 97.5hp for the same amount of spell points.

I would suggest you go to a tavern and test each healing spell you have by casting is each one several times on yourself with and without a devotion/potency item. You will quickly see which spells are your most effective. This simple knowledge about your toon can save you tons of spell points later.

    Happy Healing!

All your unchangeable default healing spells for your level are effective. The only question is when and where to use it once you get higher levels.

The three most popular are Heal (Cleric level 11), Mass Cure Critical Wounds (Cleric level 15), and Mass Heal (Cleric level 17).

Mass heal takes 4 seconds to cast not quickened and 2 seconds to cast quickened, making it debatable on whether or not it's useful or not. If you're good at anticipation, Mass Heal is definitely your best friend.

The most efficient spell will usually be the one with the most potency applied. A Mass Cure Light or Mod spell(Level 5 and 6) cast while holding a Superior Potency VI weapon will be more efficient than a Mass Cure Serious or Critical, since they aren't affected by the potency weapon. Depending on your exact gear, the best spells while leveling will vary, so it is best to test it out in a tavern when you get new spells or gear.

Edit: Another factor mentioned above is to also avoid over-healing. Burning more spell points for the same effect is always a waste.

that depends on your concentration and what content you are doing. If you have less then 50 concentration and you are doing epic content for example, quicken will often be more efficient.

When single targeting healing its the highest single target healing spell.
At higher lvls I just use heal/heal scroll and only usally hit the CCW if both those are on cooldown. Fighting raid bosses it's empower heal + sup pot/dev item and CMW Mass or CLW mass + CMW Mass scrolls saving the CSWM and CCWM for emergency. Once you get the Heal spell it pretty much becomes your default healing spell.

For a moment I thought this was going to be a Cleric vs FvS bash again...oh dear, like we need another one of those.

The most efficient healing spell as other posts have said, depends on the build you are making, the feats you've taken, the enhancements you selected, and the items you are wearing.

Now, if you've taken the "Healing" spec type of feat "Empower Healing" (Empower and Maximize off the table at this point for discussion), which boosts ALL healing, including the HEAL spell, by 50% for 10 SP more.

Using enhancements, you can reduce that cost by 4 SP, meaning, the same heal spell will cost you +6 SP for 50% boost. Now, if you happen to run the Reaver raid and pull the Gauntlets of Eternity, that lowers your Empower Healing(and only Empower Healing, not Empower or Maximize) by another 2SP.

So, your heals are now hitting for 50% more heal for only 4 SP more, that's efficient by itself. But wait, there's more.

Now, you can add either a Superior Potency/Devotion/Pot to the mix. This boosts your heals by another 50% which stacks with Empower Heals.

In the Enhancement line, you can select the "Cleric Heal" line of enhancements. This will boost your base Heal Spells by another 40%

So, your Empower Heal, Superior Pot/Dev/Pot, and Cleric Heal line gets you to 140% bonus for 4 SP more. Things are looking even better.

Now, you can also choose the "Prayer of Life" enhancements. This ups the odds as well as the crit multiplier for hitting with a heal crit. The Gauntlets of Eternity also have Major Healing Lore, which increases the Crit chance by 9% and Crit Multiplier by .50.

So, if you choose all the "Prayer of Life" enhancements, you'll end up with an 18% chance to Crit, with a Crit Multiplier of 2.50(or 2.25, I'm not in game to verify it atm).

In the end you end up with:

    For 4 SP more:

    140% Boost to Heal
    18% chance Crit
    2.50 Crit Multiplier

I've seen Cure Minor Wounds Mass Crit for 1,000 HPs, but that is also with the target having boosts to incoming heals as well. Also with Cure Mass, each person gets a roll to see if they get a crit, so an 18% chance hits a few toons very often. Albeit I wish it was the raged Bbn more often and not the caster, but it's still the odds.

To me, CML and CMM are always going to be the most efficient with a healer specced build in terms of HP to SP(given the build described of course). But that Bbn will always get a HEAL spell.

THe other day, running Inferno of the Damned, I did a HEAL crit on Cinnis for 1,100 points of good damage. Now, casters say that's nothing, they crit all the time for way more damage. The difference is, that spell cost me only 4 SP more than the base spell cost. Very efficient if you ask me.

sometimes Raise Dead is your most efficient spell...

mainly depends on your potency item and etc...

    though something ive noticed...

seems heal does not get resisted by Warforged as bad as other spells. I do not have concrete evidence to show this but seems cures go for a lot less but heal normally hits 75% potency vs 65%...vs what everyone else is getting

Excellent post and very true indeed.

nice catch, I couldn't remember if it was my gloves, my shield, or my necklace that did it.

Basically, what we are saying is that efficient healing is not just about builds and gear but the player knowledge of their toon. My main Raincloud, does not throw Heals as often as you might think. Why? Well, her crit heal is 1,778 hp. Overhealing is not efficient. Cure Critical and Cure Moderate Mass is far more efficient for most groups. WF barbies get a Heal but not always. If I don't the wf barbie, I will sometimes send a tell and ask their hp so I know which healing spell to use on them. However, you can generally tell after the first couple cure spells what you will be using for the rest of the quest.

So get thee to a tavern, my lad! Have a drink and heal thyself.
