It's aimed at raiding and epics. The uneven dex is there because of spectral gloves. Need opinions and eventual advice if this will work as intended.

Do you need that much jump?

Could you add intimidate just for the occasional tanking role?

Some thoughts on the leveling process - people way smarter than me can work on the end game stats and such. Redraiider is my 20 dorf barb that I TR'd into a WF. Now at lvl 13. Go for repair and balance on skill points. Everything else is optional.

Unless you are in a huge guild and have a few lvl up partners, I have some wierd advice!

Plan to LR+3 at lvl 18. Yep, thats right.

Take Barb 1, Wiz at 2. Ftr at 3 and 4. The wizzy is awesome. Self healing with wands. Blur and shield at lvl 2. Stoneskin wands at lvl 7.

With a hireling healer, I have solo'd or elite quested nearly everything and have had a blast.

I know it sounds wrong, but the TR process is long and grueling, and this makes it a lot of fun to run around in noob land. The self healing barb that finishes elite quests four levels over his level with 5 stones in his pocket...

Oh, and the Barb past life feat you can select (not the one you get automatically) makes your rages last 3:30 secs as soon as you take it. Bug? Hell yeah! Fantastic for you! Hell yeah!

    ??? ***?

Why would you want wizard for self healing with wands? And if you're TRing, shouldn't you have Stoneskins on your min2, enough cash to buy serious repair pots for the early levels and just blast through everything with a cleric hirling or Barrage (WF sorc hirling with GH,haste, repair)?

By taking levels of wiz, you are:
    1) slowing your barb levelling, getting less HP, less DPS, less bonus to hit
    2) spending a +1LR to fix that later (why would I want to spend $$$ when I can avoid it, especially if this is a very noticeable and big mistake in gimping your build)
    3) So you're not raging when repairing and repairining while not raging? What are you doing? Just smacking kobolds with no rage and playing a non-raged barb or raging and losing life because of your low HP/DPS and not being able to repair yourself except by drinking pots?

Repair as a skill is a complete waste. I rather pop those into Haggle but even then I would just pop them into more jump just in case you lose your rages and you want to jump for fun, but putting into repair makes no sense (not a class skill, maybe repairs a couple of HP out of your huge HP i.e. does nothing).

And it's not your 'build' that you're able to 'solo' on elite difficulties with a hirling, most barbs with the right build and gear can do that with a hirling. In fact, solo-ing is a matter of playskill i.e. knowing the quests well and that gets quests done in a short time instead of a long time. If you feel your build is viable in the late game, go ahead, but as far as I can tell from TRing twice on my barb, that doing this does nothing, and in fact slows your TR levelling down since your DPS is much lower, and you're missing out on all the enhancements from splashing so many levels that don't do much.

For reference, I never use the repair light spell on my caster for earlier levels. It takes up too much sp and repairs too little for it to be effective. Popping a repair pot is faster and conserves your sp for other play. I'm not sure how high your wiz level is for this build, but to claim that self-repairining for your WF barb is great on elite quests, you're probably repairing a HELL lot unless your HP is really low. Repair serious pots become useless for me by lvl 9+ when they stop giving me enough hp to make it worthwhile to drink while I lose DPS drinking pots. In fact, 1 haste pot does more than 5 repair pots since you have more DPS to drop the mobs before they can nick away 5 repair pots worth of your HP.

Another note on the TR process (for anyone considering):
The process is not long as you think. Most quests worth doing give 800-1k xp per minute. Just milk those. Do not pug ever. I rather solo quests with a hirling than pug, and only run with people who are interested in xp/time ratio. It took me less than a weak to TRx1 my caster, so a barb might take 1-2 weeks (This is about playing 3hours a day). For TRx2, you just have to hold levels, and milk the good xp/time quests 6-8n/h/e. People who are running with pugs, doing GH at lvl 12-13 and vale at lvl 14-16 are just asking for a slow TR process with slayer xp. Just be disciplined, figure out how to do quests fast (check out MrCow's TR guide for example), play smart and always do quests one level above the quest level while holding 1 level (so you're 2 levels higher than quest level with no penalty) and that will make your TR faster. Took me 16 days to finish the 2nd TR on my barb (help in the Orchard quest by pairing with a WF caster).

So TRing is only gruesome IF:
    1) Your build is not strong enough to be efficient
    2) You don't know the quest well to finish it fast
    3) You pug

Why would I solo instead of pugging? Dungeon scaling is a big factor to do any normal quests by yourself instead of pugging and scaling the mob HP up, not to mention losing 10% flawless and wasting time going to shrines, giving advice etc. So just my thoughts with redraider's responses.

For the opening post, nothing wrong with your build, I personally maxed out Intimidate but have not been pleased with it (dont assume your barb is going to waste +6 CHA skills, +15 Intimidate slot) so I'm planning to LR in the future to put those points elsewhere. If you're using a +3 DEX tome, might as well put an odd DEX so that evens it out unless you plan on using Litany or some epic +7 DEX slot. Other than that, all seems fine.

    ty for posts so far.

+3 dex tome is there because of spectral gloves +5/+7 dex

As stated before i aim for raids and epics with epics being the main thing. Thing is i recently got into a dispute that barb without toughness is a useless gimp. While i currently play 28p dorf and got some of the good gear not everyhting yet i don't rlly find a porblem in doing anything even more i'm good in epics so i don't feel i should gimp my tr toon with toughness against stunning blow wich comes real handy in epics.

That stated i'd like to know other opinions Especially from vets to high end barb play.

i have about 765 raged hp without toughness feat (45 GS, 45 GFL, 20 toughness minos, 6CON, Rage CON, 1-2 hardy rage), that's plenty. I still need to work on +1/+2 Exceptional CON on my ToD setup and getting the encrusted ring for another +2 CON, those would bring me well above 800 sustained rage hp.

If you get Toughness, you can probably up 80 more hp, but if you have above 700hp and you're not a dumb player, there's hardly anything that can drop your life down fast enough (exception: gimped healers). I think you should take Stunning Blow over toughness since that 'increases' your DPS while toughness just makes you a little better in surviving PvP lol. Obviously I would like both, hence a 18/2 barb/fighter is viable, but I really do not want to lose 4 STR from losing level 20 barb, so overall, this is the best that you can do. Otherwise roll a Human barb and get both toughness + stunning blow. Human barbs are awesome and I would probably play one, but for me, the WF enhancements and Power Attack (mainly this) and the ability to be healed by arcane is the main reason you should go WF, and its well worth the loss of ~80hp from toughness feats+enhancements.
