TURBINE: Friendly Advice.

Hey Turbine, I was about to buy some TPs today (Im a new player and I like the game A LOT) but I realized the only way to pay is by credit card thats given to your company to be charged at will whenever a recurring billing occurs. I've heard horror stories about giving credit card info over the internet, especially wherein the company keeps the information on a semi-non secure account (this isnt a bank website, its a game website... VERY hackable).

My suggestion:

Pre-paid Game Cards, Pre-paid Game cards, Pre-paid Game Cards.

THIS is how the VAST majority of F2P games get MOST of there bucks/$$/dollars from. Kids buying pre-paid game cards. It's fast, safe, and traditional, meaning I go into a store and buy it like I was buying groceries. Of course I dont know your situation, distribution partners blah blah blah... but I'm just saying as an (R)AVID MMO F2P player.

Anyhow, cool game.

I agree, it would be a cool idea to have pre paid game cards. Another thing I would like to see is them lower the price of the highest TP package to $48.99 from $49.99. I know it may sould silly, but I do have a reason. Most people I know like to buy things online with prepaid credit cards so as not to have their real CC info out there. Most prepaid Visas I've seen come $25, $50, and $100. (I know you can buy some with whatever ammount you want, but I have had a cpl bad experiences with them for some reason.) So, you get a $50 card to purchase the big TP package, and it won't go through because Turbine runs a $1 test charge to make sure the card is good and that puts you at $49, not enough for the $49.99 package. I know alot of companies do this, and the $1 gets credited back, but that really doesn't help you get the package you want. If they aren't going to release prepaid game cards, adjusting the TP packages to $24 and $49 would allow the players to get the full available TP and allow Turbine to get all the money. (and for God's sake, don't make it $23.99 or $48.99..I would much rather Turbine get the penny than have a bunch of 1 cent cards lying arround..lol)
