Default So, how many squishy sorcs doing epic?

Right now I am level 18 elven sorc, with 300 hp (minos helm, gfl belt, 22 con (14 +6 from DT armor) 10 favor, toughness, and the toughnesss APs) I am worried about my survivability in epic content.

How many of you running epic are doing it on a squishy sorc?

Provided party tactics are good, what tactics do you think you are using that are different from a self-healing WF sorc?

FTIW:I have: Wail fo the Banshee, cloudkill, DDoor, FW, haste, displ, Fire shield, pro elements, ottos irristable dance, and hold monster for anticipated useful spells

    thanks in advance

That's enough to succeed, although of course it won't take too many hits for the monsters to kill you. You should try to get Yugoloth favor first, for a nice +40 hp.

I run it pretty regularly on my 12 con drow sorc with no toughness feat. Tho he has exceptionally strong equipment and can break 400 hp.

I generally wouldn't take him into some of the very tough epics like offering of blood. Tho with a very strong group he would do fine there, I just prefer to do that quest brute force style on my Barbarians, always seems more effecient. Took him on wizard king a few times and he rocks that quest.. But more often then not I can't find melee geared well enough to kil the king fast enough, so I end up having to get my Barbarian to kill him anyways at the end heh.

Mainly I just farm von1-2, both of which I can solo on him, but I almost always group anyways to speed them up. Also run VoN6 fairly often and feel I can contribute allot on him (generally CC the hardest base (2), debuff the dragon. handle all trash reavers and help heal a little)

my 2nd caster, a 335 hp sorc, runs epic raids (von6 and dq2) regularly, and sometimes do von2 and wiz-king end fight. I won't bring her to quests like oob/chains/dq1 as it is too tough.

for von6, groups in my server usually use a caster to solo base 3 and any caster who can self-heal and with disintegrate could do the job. However, I have to drop a feat to get Skill Focus: UMD to get to UMD 39 before I dare to bring her to the quest.

for dq2, my sorc is a bit different as she can self-buff to 29 reflex save with evasion and could perform very well. Most sorc, esp those who think HP/con is everything and dex/reflex has no use, will have a hard time in this quest. (at least my primary caster in her first life as a sorc 20 is)

@OP, HP is just one of the factors in survivability. self-healing is perhaps an even more important factor for caster. for your elf, I would say you are epic ready only if you got UMD 39 for using heal scroll. Besides, get as much healing amplification as you can fit in.
