Red face The ReformedThief 32 Build?

I had started playing DDO with the template build from http://ddowiki.com/page/Reformed_Thief which is generally a 18 Fighter / 2 Rogue. It was a 28 build.

    I love the playstyle and dps. Just hope that the hit rate would up a little ^^;

I got my character to 4F/1T and has now decided to go 32 build and maybe some other enhancements like Tomes and such. Would any kind would comment how should I differ from the template? Suggestion or new template would be really hopeful. Thank you in advance to any kind soul.

Its a common error to go to TWF too early, if your hit rate is below your whishes just wear one weapon, or at least you really should wear a light weapon (dagger, sickle, handaxe) in your offhand until the upper levels.

Especially combined with power attack too early TWF will result in hitting nothing. turn it off it you dont hit much.

OK, I'm really a noob to stats. From some reading, I understand that for melees, static modifiers that contributes to hit rate would be Str and Hit Rate enhancement gears.

From your post, I suppose even with TWF, 2nd weapon in off hand will lower Hit Rate? And the bigger the weapon, the lower the hit rate? I was trying to read up about hit rate in Wiki and searches the forum, but I just couldn't find a clear answer to really understand that as a melee, what stat should I increase apart from Str and what weapon/enhancement should I go for to increase my hit rate.

I still need seniors to help explain this or provide links, and comment on what additional 4 stats I should add to from the template. If anyone could make a template for the 32 build would be great for a ignorant noob like me >.< Thank you!

exactly in the inventory at the bottom you will see your hit modifiers. experiment with different weapons and you will see the difference.

In the beginning put a handaxe in your off hand and experiment with powerattack in some cases you might want it on in others off.

edit: also remember than moving around reduces your to-hit, try to stand still when hitting mobs. especially in the beginning as twf, later on your to-hit will improve eitherway.

Oh and drink bull strength potions until you have a +4 strength item.

Is there a balance ratio between Hit Rate and Attack Power?

read the power attack description -5 to attack (to hit) +5 to damage.

Meaning when its on you make 5 more damage per swing *if* you hit.

As you attack bonus increases as you progress you can have two large weapons (khopesh in your case) and still hit things, even turn power attack on and still hit once you inflate strength with items

Hmm... So more Str will lead to higher chance to hit?

yes, unless you are a "weapon rafinesse" build like some rogues or thiefes do, then its Dex, but you have a strength build.

Unless you have stat damaging weapons for later on... don't go Dex/Weapon finesse. My advice... Max your strength and grab a big Axe/Sword. I run to level 10 on all my toons with a great weapon... even the ones that are taking the TWF line. You just hit more and do more damage at early levels.

I'm sure you see a LOT of TWF people swinging like crazy at lower levels... but guess what? Just like you...they're missing a lot.

In my opinion...yes. You don't even need to take the THF feat chain...just up your strength (while making sure all you abilities are where you want them...) and Grab a Falcion, Great Axe or Great Sword.

Let's face it... it's either kill or be killed. if you can't get you AC up high enough to stop then from hitting you, make sure you can hit them...harder!

Was in a Pug doing Tear last night... Top kills were Fighter/Bard/Barbarian all 3 used Great Axes. I was referrin it to 'the Blender'.
