    Default It's Tower Tuesday!

Did anyone notice the number of people running ToD on Tuesday? Wow, this server's got some pretty elite and hard-core players!
    - I've been to so many raids, but I wouldn't call myself a vet, since I have yet to try out different strategies, tactics and classes in raids.
    - Main in sig, alts: Frostiee, Aliciae, Amandae

It was a bad ToD day for me yesterday. I think I was in 3 or 4 that all failed in part 2. It really gave me a new respect for those kiters I have been with in the past that made it look easy. I always just sort of took it for granted. I'd run in, stand in the back left corner, wait for someone to get agro, play "beat the boss" for a few minutes, then go get loot... Not yesterday. I tried to get in a group late, but I think they were already monk heavy and no luck for me.

Anyhow, no disrespect to any of the kiters yesterday, weather it was lag or poor luck or just your time for learning that role better. Here is to all of the kiters in part 2, I won't take you for granted in the future!

Anyone know the backstory to this? I suspect that the person who had the "Just practicing not completing" started it, but I'm not sure. It took 2 screenshots to get all the LFMs up for ToD

I tried to join his LFM, but I think he thought I was going to give him grief. Seriously, though, I need practice kiting.

Our instance yesterday was extremly laggy. Kiting sucks as you have a lot of hopes hinged on one person and their connection. It can be finished with a failed kite however. We usually assign a back up kiter (usually a cleric or fvs with BB). Once a shadow is on the altar everyone jumps off till the back up can get agro, or till the original kiter is back up and has agro again. I think our guild has only wiped 4-5 times using this method.

Ours was happenstance. I logged on late, started asking what peeps wanted to do, and we decided to ToD. Then i looked at the lfm and saw 3 up. By the time we alted and were ready to form there were a few more lol. I kept my full one up for a bit to help out peeps that were taking screenies though

One of the more fun kitings I've had is when the lag is so bad that suddenly all the shadows disappear and stop being drawn - and you're then basically just blind kiting, using the sound of their wings to divine where they're coming from and adjusting trajectory like that.

So far 3/3 succesful blind kites, they're fun!

Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.
