    Default Fvs1/Ftr1/Barb18 Elven Arcane Berserker

So I was playing around with a frenzied arcane archer... it sounds good in theory. Tell me what you think(first time doing this so it might be a bit messy.)

I was thinking of the frenzy critical damage+lightning II bow+slayer arrows. The downside no improved precise shot. but it should pump out superb single target DPS. Please point out any flaws/rip it apart, I feel it might have some trouble hitting at end game, but I'm not exactly sure. Also does anyone know if power attack works on bows?

*edit* and I guess it could do some melee aswell. But that'd be pretty sub-par

I also just remembered you could take a first class wizard level, to get precise shot, but not improved precise shot. while losing 100 sp. some hp, and the favored soul +1 bow damage/divine favor/etc.

Improved critical ranged isn't needed if I recall, since one of the rages increase your crit range. Or I read it wrong? allowing you to hit the 19-20 range for the x6 critical damage. I wonder which would be better...

Hmmm, I've found a better way to build this, without the FvS, it appears my first method was pretty flawed, but even with this other one, which looks to be the best(and no critical rage, since you can't get that anymore apparently.) but you need to pick between improved critical OR rapid shot... but you do also get Improved precise shot... hmmmm this wouldn't be a class you make and level from level 1, this is more of a level 20 barb, where you can farm all the gear you need, then lesser reincarnate...

    so, lets try THIS one.

Couple of points. How did you get a wizard feat and fighter feat at level 1? I wouldnt max out the Dex, take it to 16..bring the STR up to 16 and drop the Con to 12. The Barb enhancements will give you the Con you need and the elf enhancement will help the Dex. The problem with this type of AA is the really low will save, they tend to fail a lot. I would bump up the Wis.
Next, Ask yourself what is the level of Wiz getting you? You are still being forced to waste a feat on Mental Toughness. I would instead take Bard. You get a free +1 song, you dont have to waste a feat since you can use the bard enhancement, you can cast a low low level heal spell, and be able to use cure wands.
Your spot is way to low, for an archer that is the most important skill!
Finally, that level of fighter is getting you a feat..if you can try one level of ranger. You get the bow strength for free and the favored enemy evil outsider which is huge at end game. This is of course if you are dying for a barbarian build.

I went 1 Bard/1 Ranger/18 Fighter...got tons of feats, plus the Kensai III. With the dual kopesh I dish out a ton of melee damage when needed, plus can wear heavy armor without problems. Just a thought

Well, the second build... in the third post... Wizard is the "best" for this, since you can get mental toughness as a class feat, then whatever for a normal feat, then rangers on the third for bow strength, and another feat, aswell as a favored enemy. then all that is gravy. I'll be editing my OP for the new build. too bad I cannot change the title.

*edit* I have no clue how I got 3 feats there... which managed to screw up my feat selection >.> meaning I'm still 2 feats short for the best build
