    Default A lttle advice...

A little advice for some of you.

When in raids with 12 people and you die, if asked where you are, don't say "over here." Give the cardinal direction, i.e. North. South. East. West.

Next time, I will leave you out of range of the shrine in part 3 of the Shroud.

I always like, "Im cursed" or " I have three negative levels"

I just stopped responding and let someone else deal, or wait till they go off on me, then simply say, "Sorry, in a group of 11 other people, I dont know who 'I' is, if you need something from me you will have to be just a little more specific."

That happened to me in reverse in TS yesterday:

I audio'd "Don't cast Bull's on Kharrah, it's a waste of mana." (Kharrah being my pally.) This one dude said, "I like how you refer to yourself in the third-person, hahaha."

Not a big deal (and I didn't say anything, of course -- I'm not a drama-king like some), but I was thinking the whole time "Well how ELSE is he gonna know who's talking? Should I just hope he's looking at my name when it turns green?"

Specificity helps. You know why? Because it makes communication more efficient!

(BTW, thanks for the awesome TS run, Hematowma!)

Every item thats commonly recieved...( resist cloaks, rings) ... I usually ignore.
Any ailment (disease, poison, curse ) that can be removed with a potion, I usually ignore. Unless you are a barb and raged, I might do.
If you not about to die, don't ask for cures, not gonna waste the spell points on you.
And yeah Knut I'm with you, when I do decide to do something unless they type or say there name, they wasting here breath letting me know cause I'm no mind reader.
Watching TV is so much better then watching the green light up when someone speaks.

That person never played a healer. I wasn't even healing but was picking up stones at the time.... which is shocking because it was part 3.

Maybe I should roll an alt with the name "Iam". That way I always get heals and lots of attention. Thoughts?

Squishies that are newer to the shroud probably have not learned the proper respect for blades yet.

The other day I thought "well.. its only like 5 feet to the door, sure the blades are coming up behind me, but I can make it that far." Just a few feet with a set of blades going at roughly the same speed as you takes away hitpoints fairly fast. Lets just leave it at that. :P

The best is when you can get a new player to 'kite' the blades.

I haven't laughed that hard in a long long long time.

On my first Shroud run, my guild leader told me to click on the portal first going into part 5, then "yelled" at me because I caused a party wipe because I didn't click on the center of the portal! Everyone had a good laugh at my expense.

    Now I know better.

No, not more death griefing threats in the shroud, what ever will we do lol.

I have been using fraps most raids lately, so go ahead and grief me. I have np PMing youtube links.

I agree that better communication is in order, but something like this is no reason to complain about a sandy crevasse on the forums.

I still dont know why healers are playing sober I swear take a shot everytime someone does something stupid especially the "come get me or can I have a buff" mister one voice out of 11 types. I may not remember most of the raids I take part in but they must have completed I always tend to have larges in my inventory the next day

If someone leaves your stone somewhere and you do frap it, please pm me the link. There may be others that want to see that too. In fact, the person that leaves your stone may want to put that link in his/her sig.

I keep myself in the habit by speaking in third person IRL.

    "Is dinner ready? Kaganfindel hungers."

    "This meal pleases Kaganfindel."

    "Tell Daddy what you want."

"Daddy is tired. Ask him tomorrow."

    My boss loves it.

We tried to get a screen shot of a guy we did this too last night, but he logged in another alt to fast. I might just have to let him in another run just to get that screenie. Of course if I do my guildies may not join my shrouds lol.

Well when you are starting at 250 hp, those blades are really nasty

Quick - I don't think the person I responded to gets that not ressing someone that is disrupting the party or isn't cooperating isn't griefing, its self/group preservation.
