Should THF Barb go for Vorpal/Paralizer or Greater X Bane ? Is there any chance to paralize on glancing blows ?

You should get all three.
Occasionally playing on Cannith
Llyren, Kelda and some others.
I have been wondering the same myself....cannot get a definite answer as to if vorpal procs on glancing blows. My current theory is just to use whatever does the most damage and leave the paralyzing/banishing/other tricks to those with less dps.
Vorpal weapons hate me, but they do "proc" on glancing blows, so does paralyze.

Nice, they pro on Glancing. awsome ! I will give it a try then. atm im just using the mineral II on everything
Simplest answer is Epic SoS. If you can get a SoS to drop...or a shard...or a seal...Problem with newer characters on newer servers I guess.![]()

Always DPS.
Only use a vorpal if a mob takes significantly more then 20 swings to take down.
Never bother with a paralyzer. Use trip or stunning blow to reduce the damage you take instead.
As to what can proc on glancing blows:
Absolutely everything. Vorpal, Paralyze, you name it. It all works.
Even active feats.. Such as trip, sunder, stunning blow, sap, assassinate, etc.
I'm praying for an epic SoS and marilith chain, +10 seeker and that weapon must be "omfg" crits.
Best Trash Weapons
- Epic SoS (very hard to get)
- Lightning Strike GS Greataxe (or MinII)
- Weighted 5% Maul + Stunning Blow

i have a barb let me answer
uhm if you want to vorpal use 2 one handers and take of pa
dont paralyze use fearsome armor the effect isnt as long now so they come right back so no chasing them all day
greater banes are sweet but fill your pack quick
might want to try and just get a min 2 for trash that needs a dr bypasser i suggest maul since it bypasses more dr ga does a bit more damage tho
and the best trash killer the sos or epic sos tho sos is prety darn good
remember it should never swing side to side
epic trash use weighted

personally I find paralyzers and vorpals embarrassing to use on a barbarian.
there are very few situations where a vorpal beats out DPS for a barbarian.
the shroud for a raid group lvl 17 and under then vorpals in p2 would be advised, since newer characters would be less geared, and theres little point being the solo person DPS'ing out of 9/10 melee.
and certain bosses in the lvl 10-16 range when other members of the party also agree to use a vorpal; for example: it would be silly to be the only person DPS'ing the marilith in Prison of the Planes if you had both a monk and a tempest ranger trying to vorpal her. And vice versa, you shouldnt be trying to vorpal if the other two are trying DPS.
Shadowsteel [TR train wreck]
Using vorpals depend a lot on what other people are doing. I usually use vorpals in Shroud pt.1/2/4 (to clear trash) because that's what most people have been using (although I see more and more going for DPS now), and there's no point taking down some mob to 5% HP to see it dying from a vorpal blow. Of course it depends on what kind of DPS you got on your own, if you have an epic SoS with good DR bypass then you should probably use it on such trash![]()
Yeah, and this actually works both ways. If others are not using vorpals and you are, then you are being less efficient most of the time. However, if others are using vorpals and you use DPS, then you'll also be less efficient (on mobs that take more than 20 hits to kill). When fighting trash, I'm constantly swapping between my tripper, my stunner, and my vorpal on my THF barb.
