DT vs. Icy Rainments

For comparable AC, in the same 2 gear slots, you can have...

DT w/ +3 dodge + rit + chaosgardes = 2 more slots on the DT that can have helpful effects.

-or-

Icy + rit + 8ac bracers is good for AC, but less on the helpful effects.

In the end game, mobs are_going_to_hit_you_anyway. ~1ac won't make or break you. Its better to have DPS and saves. In fact, people are building Str + Con monks now and dumping (moderating) wis.

I see multiple LFMS for Icy runs a day.

I see maybe one SOS run a day, and a few other Refuge LFMS.

Perhaps DT could be better, but oh what a slow, lonely and painful grind.

My AC builds use Icy, and wear a Min 2 Item for HF and Prt 5, with some other stuff on them.

I have some items for +5 Resistance on all my alts that I equip maybe once every few months if that, so I don't think that is all that important, and yes I raid alot and run alot of epic.

Epic titan, Id puke. I hate that more than I hated the Desert.

No matter what you do, something will eventually come along that you will want more, its the nature of the game, and its good for turbine this way.

Im bias against the Refuge sorry I absolutely hate the Reavers lotto system.

Anyone telling you DT is the same as Icy's is wrong as Cyr and the others put it.

Also its much easier to get a group to help you farm icy then it is to constantly grind for runes on the chance of getting the right one for you DT armor.

Even though they changed it when you can put the different runes into alters and make new ones eldritch-tempest tempest-soverign I believe its still not worth the frustration where with icy's all you have to do is keep going after Garomel and hope that his chest drops what you need.

Actually I think a +4 Dodge bonus on an Epic Chattering Ring would be funnier.
